After he pried more about this matter he comes to know that Liam fled from London seven years ago after his father's death. Stressing they would hunt him down if he had stayed here, So he left without taking his girlfriend.
Mark didn't think that Liam had returned to avenge his family. He is fully optimistic that Liam doesn't have that kind of power and background to stand against the big families of London.
He just thinks that Liam has decided to come back after facing a lot of hardship and he couldn't stay in that kind of environment and come to seek refuge from Eliza.
"Who is this kid? I haven't seen anyone who dares to say you will go bankrupt In half an hour. I haven't seen anyone this arrogant!" The group of people surrounding Mark commented in Mark's favour.
In fact, What they said is quite true to a certain extent. None of the people present at the banquet here has the strength and influence that can make his company go bankrupt as Liam had said.

"What happened? don't disturb me If it's not anything urgent!" Mark said after the call was connected.
"Sir Mark, we have received the notice from the court and ruled that we could not repay the loan so they freeze all our real estate!" Mark's secretary replied in distress.
"What!" The word flew out of his mouth unconsciously! Mark has always been calm, but at this moment, his heart is quite forlorn!
His family's real estate industry in London can be regarded as one of the top ten. Now that it is suddenly sealed, it is cold, and it is impossible to believe it on anyone! Mark was completely stupid.
