Is It Goodbye

Nerves had Jessie smoothing her skirt. Somewhere in the crowd, Min Jun awaited her. The club had opened two weeks now, and by every indication, Keepin' it Real was a huge success. So much so that she had only seen him during his daily sojourn to The Flour Pot. Stolen kisses in the kitchen amounted to their only actual physical contact. Early a.m. calls after closing time and text messages kept them in touch, but it wasn't enough. She had tonight off, though. While Min Jun still had to work, she could hang out and watch him do his thing.

Jessie felt Min Jun's hand on her waist before she saw him. A smile filled her eyes as she turned to look up into those dark eyes that seemed to draw her gaze as surely as if he had hypnotic powers.

"Hey you," she said.

"You're beautiful."
