Out of the Mouth of a Babe

"Where should I start with you, Dillon?" Min Jun lifted Dillon and sat him on the kitchen counter.

"Be kind, Min. He's had a rough night." Jessie mussed Dillon's hair.

"He brought it on himself. He's playing a dangerous game, and it will get him into real trouble one day."

"Maybe, but not today, right, Dillon?" Jessie's smile was serene.

"Right. Today, I know more than my punishment is worth."

"What does that mean?" MJ chucked Dillon under the chin.

"That man at the club, I know him. He's Foster Mom's brother."

Jessie exchanged a wary look with MJ. They had worked so hard to keep Dillon away from the drama surrounding the bakery and Liam's legal problems. Now it looked like Dillon might be in the middle of everything after all.

"Spill it," MJ propped himself up with a fist on the counter to either side of Dillon. "And facts only. No fiction. No guesses."
