Home Comfort

Steph fell into her mother's arms and cried. She'd never seen Hong Gi angry at her before, and he had every right to be. He was correct. As soon as she was someone's target, she should have let him know. She should have let everyone who mattered to her know. Now people were having to clean up her mess. Never mind she still didn't understand how she'd gotten into it, to begin with.

"Oh, Steph, what's wrong?" Jessie soothed her baby as best as she could, but without knowing the problem, all she could do was try to calm her.

In time, Steph's incoherent sobs turned into logical sentences.

"Steph, Hong Gi isn't angry at you. He's scared. He wasn't there to take care of you and now he feels responsible for what happened. Don't you see that?"
