Lexy Lies

Lexy sat in the back of the car, lost as to how to proceed. This wasn't going the way she had anticipated. Seeing Luke again was supposed to solidify her feelings for him, but she was still ambivalent. Maybe her feelings were all knotted up with the dad thing. She wasn't sure.

What Lexy did know was she was lonely. Even after Luke put his arms around her, she'd felt just as lonely. This wasn't cool. They had spent months chatting, phone calls, sexting. All of it had been so much fun, and she had been pretty sure she was in love. But now, she wasn't so sure.

Face to face, Luke had seemed like a stranger. Sure, she recognized his face, and he had been accommodating, but the feeling wasn't there. Maybe a few days of spending time together would take care of it. She had herself almost convinced when the car pulled up to her hotel.
