Chapter 317 Friends Are a Good Excuse

The bright moon was wrapped in layers of clouds and mist, only reflecting faint fluorescent light.

In the middle of the night, Wendy Cassia walked out of the elevator with her head down. When she arrived at the door of the apartment, Wendy was about to open the door when a pair of hands suddenly appeared on her shoulder. When she came to her sense, she immediately grabbed that hand and gave it a back grab with sharp eyes.

"It's me." Louis said in a helpless tone. This woman was so quick to react that he had no time to prepare.

When she saw the figure, Wendy immediately loosened her grip. She was at a loss whether to cry or to laugh. "What are you doing at night? I thought..."

"Do you think it is a bad guy?" Louis tried to relieve his aching arm.

"Of course. It's so late."

"So you know it's too late."

The man's words were weak, but Wendy still heard them. There was a flash of joy in her heart, but there was no trace on her face. "What's wrong with you?"
