I once again, wake up before Nala. I quickly bathe and put on a black shirt. I realize I want to give Nala some space today. After what happened yesterday, I am sure she does not want to see me. When I get downstairs, I receive a call from Carson.
“Morning” I mutter into the phone.
“Morning” Carson replies.
“Is something wrong?” I ask, sensing the apprehension in his voice.
“Yes and no”
“What do you mean by that? Get straight to the point.” I say, already starting to lose my patience.
“Chill, man. I think I know who the traitor is”
“Who is the motherfucker?” I ask, my temper rising.
Carson pauses for a moment, and says, “Kim”.
“Kim” I can’t believe what I am hearing.
“Yes, Kim” he reiterates.
“I am coming right now” I state quickly.
“Won’t you take Nala to school?” Carson asks.
“Okay,” Carson replies, and I hang up. I have given the necessary orders, and Nala will be adequately taken care of.
