I wake up and I am the only one in the car. I look around and see that he has brought us to the place where we first met. I know how dear this place is to him; It reminds him of his mother.
"Oh shut up, he doesn't deserve our pity," Penny says, and I smile.
"Cut it out, Penny, he's trying his best to make it up to us."
"Hmph...whatever," Penny says, and I shake my head.
I search for Jordan, finally spotting him leaning on the tree near the lake. He turns and waves, and I return the gesture.
"Hey," I say with a smile.
"Hey," he responds. I stand beside him, and we both stare at the lake.
"I'm sorry," we both say at the same time, facing each other.
"What exactly are you sorry for? You didn't do anything wrong," he says.
"Well, I must have done something for you to reject me immediately we found out we were mates."
"Yeah..about that, I was stupid, and it's one of the reasons why I'm sorry."
"You were stupid," I say, and I smack his head.
