CHAPTER 33

She panted heavily, still laughing out heartily from their splashing and horsing around. And she liked… no loved, his laughter too. It was just so heartwarming every time she heard him laugh.

“That was… incredible.” She sighed as she leaned her head back against him and he wrapped his arms securely around her waist. “I don’t know when was the last time I had just played around like this. I can’t even remember. Perhaps, the last time was when I was just way too young to remember now.” She could not stop the gentle smile that curved her lips and softened the look in her eyes. “Thank you for playing with me, Sam. I don’t know why but this short time had made me feel like the world is suddenly much better than I had thought. I’ve long forgotten how something so simple like this could feel so good.”

“I’m happy,” he leaned his chin on her shoulder. “Because you’re happy.”
