Journey to the west

As Isabelle, Michael and his siblings exited the portal of the capital and entered the one for Pearlglade, the weather got chillier. An unpleasant cold wind wafted through the empty streets, rifling through Isabelle's thin, sleeveless dress. She knew the weather there wouldn't warm up at least for another couple weeks after Spring's Turning, but it wasn't like she had the opportunity to prepare.

She guided Michael through the deserted streets that were now slowly filling up with people heading for their early morning chores. His siblings were now loudly complaining about the cold and even the baby joined in, crying for food that Michael couldn't provide for him at that moment.

Then, like a ray of sunshine through a fog, Isabelle spotted the sign of the inn that she and her family used to stay at before their journey back home.
