Arc 1:|Chapter 4- Impostor - Part 2|

When they heard the voice, all turned their head to the origin of such a cheerful but surprised voice.

It was a man of 1.8 height, with black eyes, a short hairstyle, and a mole under the lips. He was in a blue suit and a coat on his shoulders, but the aura he gave was that of a cheerful person and didn't fit his current attire.

When the receptionist saw the man, she immediately saluted him and spoke, "Sir Lande, I'm sorry you have to see this b..."

Before she could finish speaking, Lande, the individual who called Luke, strode past her and stopped in front of Luke.

"Luke, what are you doing here?" Lande asked tone of voice sounded surprised, but if one paid attention, one could hear the worry hidden within the question. Lande's brows frowned, but joy could be seen within his eyes when he glanced at Luke.

"Nothing, just wanted to see you and dad..." said Luke in a casual tone, then glanced to the receptionist, "but someone stopped me and didn't let me continue." Displeasure was expressed when he spoke.

Hearing Luke says he came to see them, Lande was, of course, happy. But when he heard Luke say he was stopped from continuing, discontent appeared in his eyes.

"What?! Who dares to stop you?" He said.

Then he followed Luke's gaze that landed on the receptionist. His eyes stopped on the receptionist and the security guards.

Feeling the eyes of the boss, the receptionist suddenly had a bad premonition. She felt her heart turning cold and sweat dripping from her forehead. From the few words that the young man and Lande exchanged, she could tell that they knew each other & she was finished.

"Oh, so there's still someone who dares to stop my little bro.," said Lande, "Good, very good..." Suddenly the atmosphere changed, and Lande's eyes turned cold, staring at the receptionist, "how dare you..." just as he was about to continue speaking, Luke spoke.

"It's not her fault...," he said in an indifferent tone, not caring for the receptionist, "It's just that someone came impersonating me."

"What?!!!" Lande was surprised to hear that someone was posing as his little brother to enter their company, "someone posing as you?!!!"

"Yes." said Luke, "someone came posing as me and entered the company. Right now, that person may be arriving at the chairman's office. And this woman let that person in." He then pointed at the receptionist, who felt cold sweat on her back.

Lande glanced at the receptionist, "You! you let anyone enter without verifying their identity!" Lande was furious and felt like he wanted to strangle the receptionist, then he called some guards to close the building, "Close the edifice no one is allowed to leave or enter, find this person and bring him to me!" He then looked at Luke, "Luke, you come with me, you must have some problems coming here so, accompany me."

Hearing Lande speaks, Luke just glanced at the receptionist and followed Lande.

The receptionist stood there looking at people until their backs disappeared with an incredulous and scared expression on her face. That Lande hadn't spoken to her doesn't mean that he has forgotten her, what it meant is that she is fired, and she needs to leave her work. She slides to the ground and started to weep with snots on her nose. The looks of some of the people around who witnessed everything looked at her with pity while others looked at her with ridicule and snickered at her for her bad luck.

After Luke and Lande left, Lande took Luke to the elevator and left the first floor.

While they were on the elevator Lande asked Luke, the reason for coming to the company.

Luke just answered perfunctorily, "To confirm something."

"Confirm? what do you want to confirm?" asked Lande, but when he asked the elevator made a stop, and Luke didn't answer, just passed by him, leaving the elevator and walking to the chairman's office.

Lande saw him and followed.

When walking they saw that many of the workers were looking at them and some at the chairman's office.

Just then Lande thought that something was wrong.

"Luke, something seems to be wrong." He said with a severe expression looking at Luke.

"Mmn" Luke nodded, but did not say anything and continued walking, when they stood in front of the chairman's office they heard a noise, it was something shattering to pieces and the voice of their father. "I've already warned you not to come here!!!"

Just as they heard their father speak another voice spoke.

"And I've said, I'll come here to get what you owe me. Don't forget that you owe for my mother's death and now I've come to make you pay!" Said viciously.

"I've already said, your mother's death doesn't have anything to do with me, you'd better….Wait what are you doing?!" Suddenly, while hearing their father's voice they heard a change in tone.

Hearing it, Lande's expression immediately becomes serious. He looked at Luke then at the chairman's office and rushed toward it. He opened the door and became stunned by the scene he saw.

There was a young man, who looked no older than Luke, holding a gun in his hand and pointing at his father. His father, the chairman was at the other side facing the gun.

"What's happening here?!!!" Said Lande.

Luke who was behind him walked in, not surprised by the scene inside the chairman's office, face expressionless.

"Brother, call security." He said in an indifferent tone, giving a glance at the man holding the gun.

Lande looked at Luke surprised by seeing him so calm but when he heard what Luke said he quickly came back to his senses and called his secretary to call security who acquiesced and did as Lande told him.

Lande then looked at the man, who was holding the gun. The man was dressed in a black suit, with black hair, and brown eyes. Not overly beautiful but enough to attract attention.

"Father what is happening?" Said Lande with doubts in his voice he asked his father without taking his eyes off the man holding the gun, alert.

"This…." Just before their father could say something the man spoke.

"So, these two are your sons!" He said with a sarcastic tone, "I can't believe it, you've been living a happy and blessed life without qualms and guilt for what you've done!" The man laughed.

When Lande hears the man talk he couldn't help but speak in a concerned tone. "Father, what is he talking about?" He asked, looking at his father while cautious of the young man holding the gun.

"What am I talking about? Looks like you haven't told them. Maybe I can also send them to reunite with you after they learn about what you've done…." While he was talking he glanced at Luke, displeasure crossed his face as he saw Luke's indifference. At the same time Luke's eyes met his, they were cold and piercing. With just that look, the man didn't know why but felt fear for a moment before returning to normal.

The man was about to continue talking when Luke spoke.

"Nick Nicolai Solano, say, how much did you receive to do this? Or to be precise, what did you receive for acting on all this?" Said Luke, looking at Nick(the man holding the gun) with indifference. While he spoke to Nick, he also was talking to the system.

'System, secure the gun safe.'

|Yes, host!| Said system Uno, |Host, the gun has been disabled.| (*Notes: He means that the gun's safe has been turned off, or something like this. Many people who had learned about guns must know that every firearm has a safe to allow one to fire or not.*)

'Good.'

When he finished giving the system orders, he never averted his eyes and continued looking at Nick.

He then spoke while remembering Nick's life information that the system gave him.

"Say, what benefits did you receive? After all, you wouldn't act like this if the benefits aren't big enough. And I say this is because I know that you aren't a person who acts by madness but a person who acts by reason."

"How would you know me?! You don't know anything about me!!!" Nick responded, making himself seem like a madman driven by resentment who has no other thing but hate against them, but inwardly he was panicking because of Luke's words.

Luke looked at him indifferently and Nick's reaction made him think that this person really should have taken the actor's path instead of being a fashion designer.

Looking through this person's information through system Uno, he couldn't help but frown.
