Life Must go On

Part 23

"This my child is beautiful," said mother, pinching Dora's cheeks.

"Awww it hurts Mom," Dora whined to her mother.

"Are you ready to makeup, we're going to be late!"

Papa's voice came from the living room. Mama and Dora laughed softly afraid of being heard by papa.

"It's okay Pa, this is going," answered Dora.

The three of them then left for the Dora campus. Today Dora will be at graduation with her other friends. By the time we got to campus, the atmosphere was bustling. Dora looked around looking for Minar, but it seems Minar hasn't come yet.

"Find who Ra?" asked mom.

"Minar ma, but it hasn't come yet."

"Still on the road maybe," said Mama.

"Yes Ma, ehh Dora go to the toilet first, Ma, Pa!" Mom and dad nodded.

Dora rushed to the toilet. Finished from there Dora walked slowly towards the Multipurpose building.

"Congratulations on your graduation, Dora Ardini SE!" a voice behind him startled Dora.

"Bang Bayu, what are you doing here?" asked Dora with a happy face after knowing who was behind her earlier.

"Just for fun, it just so happens that I need to meet a friend this afternoon.

So, my brother has time to stop by here," explained Bayu. Dora took a deep breath, then turned to Bayu who was also looking at her.

"Why?" asked Dora.

"You are beautiful Ra, I don't know what was on Malik's mind before to hurt a girl as beautiful as you,"

"Crap, brother," said Dora shyly.

"You're serious bro!" said Bayu slowly.

While chatting, a voice came through the loudspeaker calling all prospective graduates to gather. Looks like the show is about to start.

"You don't want to know how is Malik now, Ra?" Dora shook her head while looking at her friends who were starting to enter the Multipurpose building in front of her.

"Why? Still mad at him?" asked Bayu again.

"No bro, but Dora is lazy to talk about it again. Do you understand?" Bayu didn't answer, he just looked at Dora and then looked up while taking a slow breath.

"Okay then. The program is about to start, right? I must go now Ra, once again congratulations on your graduation. Remember if there is a problem, don't hesitate to contact my brother!" said Bayu while greeting Dora.

"Thank you, Bay." Dora looked at Bayu who walked away from her.

"Dora, is the report I asked for yesterday finished?" asked Mr. Handoko.

"Yes sir, I'll take a moment," Dora replied.

"I'm waiting in my room now, okay?"

"Yes sir," replied Dora. Dora took the report file that Mr. Handoko asked for. Then he was delivered to Mr. Handoko's room to be signed.

After graduation, Dora decides to work in her father's friend's office. Incidentally, they need financial personnel according to Dora's expertise. Pak Handoko is also very professional, he does not privilege Dora in terms of work. Dora feels happy to be working in this office.

"Rest first, Ra, don't keep working. Do you want to come to the canteen?" Irma's senior brother asked Dora at the office.

"Hmm first sis, Dora fasting."

"Ohh sorry then. We go to the cafeteria first." Dora nodded, they left Dora who was still doing her job.

"Good afternoon! Can I meet Mr. Handoko?" someone asked Dora who was seriously staring at the monitor in front of her.

Dora looked up to see who was speaking. A young man with, a handsome face, white skin with very shady eyes was looking at him with a smile.

"Try asking the secretary, it's the one sitting at the end."

"Thank you." Dora nodded respectfully, the young man approached Mr. Handoko's secretary and soon he entered Dora's boss's room.

Dora was about to continue her work, but she stopped because she heard the call to prayer for Zuhur from the mosque next to the office. Dora got up and walked towards the office prayer room on the 2nd floor.

"See who are you Zam? Instead of listening to what I was talking about, you peek at your daughter's daughter." Mr. Handoko grumbled.

Meanwhile, the young man called Azzam just grimaced at his father's scolding.

"See who?" asked her father again.

"The man has gone upstairs." The answer. Handoko also peeked from the window curtain, then he smiled.

"Oh, that's Dora, the new hire. Why? You have a crush?" asked Mr. Handoko directly.

"The child is sweet, sir, it seems like there is an attraction," Azzam replied.

"Don't mess with him, okay?" threatened Mr. Handoko. "Why you don't believe in your child."

"It's not like that, Dora is Papa's friend's daughter when we were in college. Papa doesn't want Dora to be uncomfortable working here because you keep bothering her."

"Don't worry Pa, Azzam won't bother him. But if you try to approach, is it okay?" Pak Handoko nodded and was greeted with a cheerful smile on Azzam's lips.

"Dora!" he said in his heart.

------------------

Dora jogged to the bus stop near her office. Dora looked up to see the sky was very cloudy. Looks like it's going to rain soon. Dora took a deep breath, she remembered the incident just before leaving the office earlier.

"Hayy," someone greeted Dora who was packing. Dora turned to the source of the voice, Azzam was smiling at her.

"What is it?" asked Dora.

"Dora wants to go home. Can I take you?" Dora looked at Azzam for a moment, then smiled.

"Thanks, I can go home alone. Excuse me!" Dora walked away from Azzam. Azzam chased after Dora, trying to keep up with her steps.

"But Ra, it's cloudy outside, maybe it will rain soon. I'd better take you!" Dora stopped walking and looked into Azzam's shady eyes.

"Thanks hmm Azzam, I'm used to going home and going alone when it rains. Excuse me."

Dora walked on while Azzam just looked behind her. And this isn't the first time Dora has turned down her offer. This week, Dora has always refused.

"Aren't you coming up with me?" The voice next to him made Dora wake up from her daydream.
