Blood of Betrayal!

The voice of that stranger was absolutely emotionless when he broke that uncomfortable silence and it chilled Aylin more.

"Blood of betrayal! So, here! Here you were hiding…"

Dumbfounded, Aylin asked in a puzzled tone while trying to set her wrist free from his iron hold, "Huh? What do you mean? Who is hiding!"

The pain was increasing. She felt the blood surge from her fingertips to her toes. Her heart began to hammer in her chest. She searched anxiously for the meaning behind his words. But, instead of clearing her confusion, the familiar stranger confused her more.

"What a mocking of fate! She tried so hard to change fate… But, in the end, all her effort went in vain."

Aylin felt as if a hand had closed around her throat. She couldn't endure it anymore. In the dim glow of the lanterns, it was hard to get the full view of the stranger's face. Yet the gaze of his dark eyes was so intense that it was hard to avoid.
