2. THE POWER SYSTEM

a) Magic

-General info: A mysterious power that every species has access to, but only some of them can control. As a result, some information about magic may not be accurate.

-Origins: [Unknown]

-Mana: Energy consumed when doing magic. Continuing to consume mana when depleted may lead to death. Humans and other species replenish their mana naturally by staying healthy (sleeping, eating, drinking, etc.). Mana follows the Law of Energy Conservation and naturally can be transformed into other forms of energy. However, a way to produce mana artificially has not yet been found.

-Categories:

Elemental magic: This category is hereditary. Elemental magicians can only use one type of elemental magic. Ex.: Wind, Water, Electricity, Fire.

Dark magic: A less common category. Some people are born without elemental magic but with dark magic instead. Dark magicians can only use one type. Ex.: telekinesis, conjuring, and transformation.

Cursed magic: Hereditary to the cursed (see info on them below). Magic used by the cursed. Often considered a branch of dark magic. Ex.: Vampirism. In vampirism, a human turned by a vampire has a chance to retain a portion of his magic (whether elemental or dark magic).

b) Science:

-General info: For the last few centuries, science has evolved and more ways to utilize mana have been found (inventions listed below). Artificial intelligence is a thing, but people try not to rely on it. Multiple regulations have been put in place by the Democratic Alliance to limit some pejorative effects of artificial intelligence and other life-changing inventions on humankind. Also, [Not mentioned yet]

-Inventions:

Some devices can extract magic from species (mainly used on animals).

Others: Robots, immersive VR, All-purpose watches and weapons, etc. (go to The Index)

c) [Name unknown] Jenna's mysterious powers:

-Absorbing the nature around her and making a whirlwind allows her to levitate and fly.

-With enough concentration and belief, she can make a soul manifestation, a giant, translucent angel-like aura that protects her.

3. THE INDEX

-Anti-magic shackles: prevent the circulation of mana.

-All-purpose watch: an intelligent device and a tool for conjuring things with mana (all-in-one watch).

-All-purpose weapons: special weapons that use the wielder's mana to operate and can be configurated for different uses.

-Robots: some are big machines while some are the size of humans. Used for warfare, construction and other activities. Humans try to remain mostly independent from them.

-S-Craft: A silent mana-powered aircraft. Uses wind magic to float in the air.

-Rocket Crux: An aircraft three times the size of an S-Craft.

4. THE SPECIES AND RACES

-The humans: They populate the planet. They have many different races.

West Continent's natives: Main characteristic - Goldish skin tone. They originate from the West Continent

Northerners: White skin tone. There are many of them in the West Continent, but they originate from the Central Continent.

Southerners: Black skin tone. They originate from the South Continent. Ex.: Ejiro Sani (before becoming a vampire).

-The cursed: People with cursed abilities are often referred to as "inhuman monsters." These races are widely discriminated against as the cursed used to be a part of the Dark Faction. The rulers of the Obscure Guild are cursed. Ex.: Vampires (Gabriella Rivampe, Ejiro Sani).

5. THE WIDE WORLD

This section is about the different territories. There are four continents: West Continent, North Continent, East Continent, South Continent and Central Continent. Each one has unique worldbuilding.

A. The West Continent

a) Amon Guild or the Topaz Guild

-Before being claimed by Aaron's parents, Elis Leon and Daniel Amon, it used to be known as the Topaz Guild, an enemy of the DA. The Amon Guild, owned by Aaron's parents, had existed for 20 years but then changed its name again to the Topaz Guild after the coup d'état by Jacob Topaz (aka Jacob Raider).

-Characteristics: The biggest guild or territory in the West Continent.

It runs along the west coast of the continent.

-Blue City: The capital of the Amon/Topaz Guild. The main colour is blue. Skyscrapers go very high in the sky, but they all end before the same height limit where the roads are located. Instead of the roads being on the ground level, they are situated in the sky to offer more room for buildings to settle.

-History: Prospered since the First War when immigrants arrived from the central continent to seek refuge.

b) Tremblay Guild

-The guild is a democracy and its last prime minister was called Kevin Bell.

-Characteristics: Has strong ecological policies, values liberty over strength.

-Aspen City: The capital of the guild. The city surrounds the vast 500 hectares of the Aspen forest.

-Underground City: A big city located underground where the people that live here wish to exit one day.

-History: Prospered thanks to the second war between the Democratic Alliance and the Dark Faction during the 21st century.

c) The Wandering Lands

-Lands owned by various smaller guilds located in the center of the West Continent.

-Ortoz Guild's Hellish City: Poor city with a reddish atmosphere due to the Life Force Absorption Failure where millions of souls were bound to it. The Hellish city was secretly governed by vampires before Ejiro, Aaron and Isaac put a stop to this.

d) The Western Democratic Alliance Territories (West DA)

-The second largest territory in the West Continent. It is directly administered by the Democratic Alliance.

e) The Obscure Guild

-It is a mysterious guild to the southwest in the form of a circle. There are 5 layers of walls encircling the guild. Each one of the Obscure Guild's rulers, the Five Seats or Five Cursed, regulates one of these layers. This isn't a democratic state and the citizens live behind an inescapable firewall.

-History: Near the middle of the Second War, the Cursed fought against the people of the biggest regrouping of West Continent natives. The regrouping dominated the magical fish orbs trade sector. The cities were filled with light and the name of this guild was Orbarium. The orbs gave magic power (used and abused a bit like nuclear energy). During the Second War, when Orbarium was in a recession, the Dark Faction needed power. The Cursed were sent and took a large portion of from the natives. The eastern side was almost fully taken by the West DA, but there's still contested territory. Obtaining Orbarium gave the DF an advantage since the only other place with magic fishes is the South continent. The place was renamed Obscure Guild, and at the end of the war, most of the remaining Cursed stayed there.

***

The Obscure Guild's layers:

First layer:

-Ruled by the snake humanoids (their leader is Snoid, but he has been abducted by the DA and Western Alliance)

-The closest gate leading inside is the Northeast Gate, in Northeast City

-To the South of Northeast City, there is Shroud City and to its West, Redan City

-The first layer is not present in the coastline to the South, leaving way to the Second layer

Second layer:

-The second layer is ruled by the reptoids. Their king is Zephyr Dragos

-The reptoids disguise themselves as humans and take major roles in the government, making the humans oblivious to the fact that they are getting represented by reptoids

-Although it was managed by Snoid, Tech-Think's buildings are primarily located in the second layer since it offers more protection

-One of its attractions are the resorts in the South. There are long beaches and expensive boats on the coast

-Another is Slitherland, a mega theme park in the East.

-Etheria is a city that distinguished itself from the others. It's a place of technological advancement filled with towering roofscrapers, flashing neon lights, and countless pipes that creep between buildings and hover above streets. It was the city where Gabriella led Ejiro and Seth to a Tech-Think building in order to get above the Obscure Guild's roof

Third layer:

-Dictated by the werewolf cursed. The original alpha, Frederick Locus, was killed by the main characters during their escape. The new alpha is Christopher Fireblood

-The werewolves generally love fighting, most getting high ranks in the army, police, or other government forces

-The city to the North, connected to Redan City, is Ulkan

-Frederick Locus died in Carnoth City, an old rusty city

-The largest city is Alpha City

-There was a rebel camp in Lycanport, a city with a gate to the second layer

Fourth layer:

-It is watched over by the vampires. Their ruler was originally Gabriella's mother, Arthea Rivampe. But after her death, Theodoric took the Seat while waiting for Gabriella to grow older. Gabriella became the Queen after his death

-The largest city is Siphon City

Fifth layer:

-The skeletons cursed watch over this land. The Bone Mother is their superior

Inner layer:

-The location of the five capitals in the Obscure Guild, one for each layer

-Different from the other layers, the cursed population is much larger, achieving one cursed for every two humans

-Vamp City is the fourth layer's capital. It is very dark, as the vampires don't like the light

-Dovure City, also called the Free City, was the home of progressive ideals, cinema, literature and news outlets. It is the second layer's capital. Zephyr Dragos, the Reptoid King, had transformed what was once the most depressive location out of the Five Capitals into a masterpiece riddled with jewels, gold and novelty

B. The Dark Faction [Whereabouts unknown]

-The Dark Faction is a secret society that opposes the Democratic Alliance. It had prosperous times throughout history but was defeated in the Second War, in the 21st century. However, it managed to survive.

-The Dark Faction is regarded as a cult by many. Its main idea is to rule the world from the shadows to prevent conflicts, but it wants to accomplish this by whatever means necessary, even if it means sacrificing millions.

C. The Central Continent

a) The Sunrazy Guild

-Its capital is nicknamed the City of Science and is Stephen Cure's hometown

b) The Cryanok Guild

-Ejiro Sani's hometown

-Oligarchy

D. The South Continent

-Ejiro lived there for a few years after losing his parents

6. THE WIDE WORLD'S HISTORY

The Dark Era aka The Cataclysms Period (800-???)

959: The Life Force Absorption Failure - The Dark Faction attempted to absorb the life force of millions of people. The experiment was deemed a failure and the city became a ghost town filled with human corpses. However, the city was rebuilt over a thousand years later, becoming known as the Hellish City

[Period Unknown]

-The First War: the first fight between the Democratic Alliance and the Dark Faction.

21st Century:

-The Second War (2052-2089) The second war against the Dark Faction transpired. During that time, many migrated from the Central Continent to the West Continent to seek safety, thus developing major cities like Aspen City. The Democratic Alliance came out victorious in the end.

22nd Century: A period of prosperity came after the war. The Dark Faction wasn't there anymore to hinder the DA's development.

2198-2200:

-War to overtake the older Topaz Guild (Topaz Guild against Democratic Alliance).

-Formation of the Amon guild, replacing the older Topaz Guild.

January 20th, 2220:

The coup d'état on the Amon Guild (eventually becoming the new Topaz Guild).
