My Love Where Are You?

Aunt walked slowly down the steep street to Megan's house. The location of the tiny house is indeed at the foot of the hill, but there is still a slightly uphill road, which cannot be passed by a car.

Aunt Christie helped bring food stock for Megan who was waiting for them. Christie stopped in her tracks, calling out to her mother quietly.

"Mom," Christie called out in a very low voice.

"Yeah, why? Is it heavy?" Aunt asked her son without looking back, he was still walking.

"Just stop for a second," Christie said again.

"Why?"

"Mom, I feel like someone's been following us for a long time," Chistie said quietly.

Aunt stopped walking, she turned around, looking around. It's lonely, there's no one else but them.

"Just your feelings, Chris. Come on, don't think about it, I'm sorry Megan has been waiting for us this morning," said Aunt, taking her daughter's hand.

"But ... "

"All right, let's hurry. It's getting late."

Christie finally obeyed her mother. He quickly followed his aunt's footsteps which were getting faster. When they arrived, they saw Evans. Aunt smiled, they already know each other. Christie nodded politely at the man.

"It's been a long time?" asked the aunt, putting things from her and Chistie's hands. Evans was quick to help.

"Just now, ma'am. I just delivered the apples earlier, Megan wants to eat them. She loves to eat fruit," Evans said with a smile. Christie silently looked at him. She imagined being Megan who was so lucky to be loved by a man as good as Evans.

"Where's Megan?" Auntie asked, looking around again.

"Just finished bathing, ma'am." Megan's voice was heard, she stepped outside, her hair uncombed, still half wet.

"Meg, Auntie can't buy the flowers you want, Auntie was late at the market. Next week huh?" said the aunt, handing over the things she had brought with Chistie.

"It doesn't matter, ma'am, Evans and I happen to be at the market tomorrow too. Hmmmmm, why are you out here? Come on in! I just made a cake, let's try it." Megan embraced aunt and Chistie left and right. After that, they were immersed in a warm chat with Evans as well.

Unbeknownst to them, someone behind the tree had been taking photos secretly. Megan had no idea the seconds that passed would speed up her meeting with Arthur Linford.

***

"Bee..." Arthur groaned with wine in his hand. Only this time wine could make him drunk.

"Master, you have had too much to drink." Alesha forcibly pulled the wine glass from Arthur's hand

"Bee, where are you? I'm crazy without you, Bee..." Arthur croaked with his face on the table.

"Alesha, let me take care of it." Amber's voice was heard. Alesha stared at him blankly as usual.

"If you came just to add to the trouble, it's better to leave!" Alesha snorted expressionlessly.

"Hey, Alesha! You look down on me too much!"

"Amber, if you hadn't asked Mr. Arthur to come that night, this wouldn't have happened!" said Alesha curtly.

"Okay, I'm at fault. Let me help sort this out too. I've brought important information for Arthur." said Amber, taking a deep breath.

"You face me when your information is useless!" threatened Alesha coldly. Amber smiled wryly. He knew who Alesha was, a middle-aged woman with a high level of martial arts who could knock down several men at once. A woman who has been a teenager since she served the Alexander family.

"Sure, Alesha, I wouldn't dare go against you." Amber raised her hands, not wanting to deal with this tasteless woman for too long.

Alesha walked away from Amber who slowly entered into Arthur's room gracefully. The man looked confused. It's been almost a year since Megan's gone. Arthur is sinking deeper into the abyss of loss.

"Arthur!" call Amber.

"Hmmm!" Arthur said lazily.

"I want to talk."

"I'm too lazy to talk!" Arthur replied coldly.

"You will miss this important news."

"I don't want your bitches! Stop offering them to me again!" Arthur snorted with his head still down.

"Arthur, I'm serious. It's about Megan." said Amber emphatically.

Arthur slowly raised his head. His handsome face looked disheveled, his eyes were red, too much drunk!

"Look." Amber handed over a photo taken by her person a few days ago. Arthur regained his senses.

He seemed to hold back his emotions, looking at the photo. Megan seems to be in the arms of a man, there is an aunt and Chistie in the photo as well. They look happy. Arthur squeezed the thing furiously.

"How dare that man hug Meganku!!!" Arthur's voice boomed, echoing throughout the room.

"Arthur, calm down. Don't think about that guy just yet. Look on the back of the photo there's an address. That's where Megan is now, Arthur. She's been hiding from you in that place." said Amber again.

"I'll take him home!" Arthur hissed with clenched fists.

"Yes, she is yours, Arthur. Take her back into your arms." Amber stood up, put her sunglasses back on. He stepped out gracefully, escorted by two large men.

"Bee, I swear I'll never let anyone take you from me again!" Arthur sat quietly. Tomorrow, he will leave for France. Tomorrow he will immediately bring back the girl. Tomorrow, he will make sure Megan will be reunited with him again.

Elsewhere the next day, Evans glared at Megan. He put a ring for Megan, Evans proposed to Megan.

"Megan, marry me." mumbled Evans seriously.

Megan looked down deeply she couldn't give that answer right now. Even though Evans had been very patiently waiting for him all this time.

"Give me time." Megan looked thoughtful.

Evans sighed. But then he nodded.

"I'll be waiting, Meg."

"Evans, I really don't want to hurt you later." Megan muttered quietly.

"Meg, I really do love you. I'll wait until you accept my proposal." Evans took Megan's fingers and held them.

"Two more days, I'll decide." finally broke up with Megan. Evans nodded slowly. He had really hoped to marry Megan. Aunt also agreed, now it all depends on Megan.

When Evans got home, Megan lay in her room. He was so worried. Two hours passed when there was a knock on his door. He wasn't sleepy yet. Megan looked at the clock it was already ten o'clock. Could it be that Evans' stuff was left behind?

Megan went to the toilet first, she wanted to pee. Even though the knocking was getting louder and louder, he couldn't hold back the urge to pee first. Finally, after knocking who knows how many times, Megan immediately went to the front. Maybe it was Evans right now at the door.

"Evans?" Megan said before turning the key.

"Heemmmm." Male voice. Megan still thinks it's Evans. He smiled.

Until finally when he opened the door, his smile suddenly disappeared. He shut his mouth. Can't believe his eyes.

"Who's Evans, my dear?" Megan backed away as the man rushed in and locked the door.
