To determine the power of the D+ rank adventurers who solo defeated the high-level Red Orc. Carmen gives a test to Kai, by simply attacking the adventurer that attained C+ rank adventurer.


As soon as Kai and Jiro headed to their position. Kai didn't make any second thoughts to show the footsteps that helped him to dodge Granfel's attack. 


Since he was not surrounded by the darkness, his movements were not that polished. Still, it can make numerous clones of his body and shadow which made Jiro hard to predict where the attack would come.


When he reached the right distance, he pushed forward his spear as he cast the [Deadly reach] ability. 


Jiro materialized the heavy shield in front of him, knowing a person who was wielding a spear usually would attack straight forward.
