Starting Show 2

As we continued walking through the hallway, William suddenly pulled my clothes on the back before whispering, "Why does it seems to me that you're somehow a bit excited?", as he tilted his head in confusion.

"Ah... Nothing really. You're probably just imagining it." I answered his question, and turned my head aside.

William seemed to have keen awareness, for him to noticed my excitement. I should probably be careful next time I'm with him.

"That's what an asshole do. So, William, don't be like him when you grew up." Ryan said, crossing both his arms his chest.

Lightly smacking his fist down to his palm, William nodded saying "I see..." innocently.

Halting my footsteps, I lifted my mask a bit up before spitting on the ground.

"Don't listen to him, William. He'll only corrupt your innocences in the future." I said, looking at Prince Ryan in disgusted.

"You motherfu--" Once again, he could not finish his sentence as he was quickly stopped by William from hitting me.

Unlike the last time, I couldn't stop myself from slowly raising my mask up until my mouth was showing, and stuck out my tongue to annoy him more.

Ryan grinded his teeth out of anger when he saw me doing that. And, not long after, he finally escaped from William's grasp as he immediately swung his arms to punch me.

I evaded this easily and gave him a hand chop after. Thanks to this action, he's even more furious than ever.

I carefully evaded all his punch while we continued walking, and he didn't even showed any signs of exhaustion. Maybe, it was because of his training that his stamina became this incredible, but for his fighting style, I'd say that he's too bad.

Soon we finally reached the end of the hallway, as the door in front of us started opening slowly, giving us a sight of the King sitting on the throne, the guards I've saved yesterday, and a certain person just beside the king.

His hair is black, semi-long that was tied neatly and reached up until his broad shoulders. His purplish eyes could make a person captivated for a long time if he or she stared at it even for a second. His age was probably similar to Prince Ryan if my guess is right.

While he held the title of the youngest 'Prime Minister' in history, he was also one of Cossette's older brother.

His name was Mason... Mason sou Satella.

Whew...! I never thought that I would be meeting one of her brother this soon... Not to mention, I would probably meet her family here because this is the Kingdom she grew up.

As I was staring at his current expression, he held a wide smile on this face as he continued to observing me.

Somewhat... His mere gaze is giving me chills more than Cossette in the back.

Thankfully, I managed to keep my composure, as I turned my attention back to King Adam, who was currently sitting on the throne next to Minister Mason.

With a smile, Adam looked at my general direction, and gestured his hands to dismiss the knight he was talking earlier.

"I see that you're already here, sir Blanc." He said, resting his chin onto the back of his hands.

"Yes, your Majesty." I bowed my head in reply.

"Good..."

Slightly raising his hands up, a female knight entered the door on our back, and walked towards me while holding onto a small box on her arm carefully.

Stopping a couple of meters away from me, she lightly raised the box on her arm as if she was trying to give it to me.

"Inside it was the reward I mentioned yesterday." Adam said, giving a carefree look on his expression.

I naturally took the box from her hand, and opened them to see what's inside.

An orb... I stared at it in confusion. After taking a closer look at it, I noticed that there was some kind of keyhole needed to open it... probably?

It doesn't seem to be openable because there are no other holes except for the keyhole itself... But somehow, the orb is giving a vibrant buzzing sound like a fan when I touched it.

Though, it's a bit annoying if you asked me.

After examining the orb for a couple of seconds, I turned my head aside only to see King Adam letting out a satisfied smile on his face. The other who saw this, excluding myself, looked at him with a surprised look.

I don't understand why they did that, but since I'm not in the mood to ask, I decided to leave it as it is.

A couple of seconds later, Adam let out a fake cough, making me turn my attention back to him.

When I looked at him, I noticed his slight gesture on his hands as he gave me an all-knowing smile. Right after that, the huge door on our back once again opened, as five person entered including Arnold and Jack who is currently handcuffed.

They both walked slowly because of the metal ball attached to their leg, hindering their movement.

William who saw this tried to rush over to help them, but I quickly stopped him from what he was about to do by grabbing him, and lifting him on the back.

He then looked at me in confusion as he tried to struggle free from my hands.

"Wha-what are you doing, sir Blanc?!" He said, glancing to the two once more. I let out a long sigh, stared at the two silently in reply.

Once again, he tried to struggle free so I threw his body towards his brother Ryan. Though since he was light, Ryan didn't seemed to have a hard time catching his body from mid-air.

"You see, you can't always trust what you see, William." I said while walking towards the two guards I know. "Some people could be hiding the fact that they're a disgusting person just by changing their attitude."

I had already felt this kind of experience in the past where someone betrayed my trust and expectations to them... So because of this, I've acquired this ability where it is now easier for me to find out who's a betrayer or not.

Not that it matters anyway...

Trusting them is my decision... proving me wrong is their choice.

Well, that's the thing about trust, isn't it?

The more you put your trust in them, the more it hurts when they decided to break it.

After I reached them, I knelt down and looked at Arnold blankly in the eyes before muttering, "What a pity... if guys weren't a traitor, I would have asked a favor about something."

Yep, that's right. My second goal was to reveal the traitor for this Kingdom.

In truth, I have high expectations about this two... but after the talk in the carriage, I've felt a weird tingling vibe inside me saying that there is something wrong on the way they act.

The more I ask them a question about this place, the more I've felt more certain because of their answer.

Because of this, I've come to the conclusion... that they're both traitors.

Although I can leave them at it is, I can't afford to take the risk since there is still a possibility that maybe it was their fault why William became a villain in the first place.

"Wh-what do you mean by traitor? We never betrayed our Kingdom." Turning his head to face the King, Arnold spoke up once again, "Your Majesty, are you sure that you're going to believe what the outsider say!?"

Huu.... What they're doing was a bit of an eyesore so I decided to give him a quick slap back to reality.

-Pack!

The one thing I really hate is traitors... So by getting rid of them, it somehow makes me more excited that it started giving me chills down to my spine.

I might have developed this strange complex thanks to my past, but that is fine anyway.

It may have broken my heart, but it also opened my eyes!

"Would you shut up? You're annoying." I looked at him annoyingly. Then, turning my head to face his son, Jack, I began whispering something to his ear.

"Since I know that you can somehow inform the organization about what is currently happening here using magic, just tell them that if they ever tried to something in this Kingdom, they'll all face some consequences."

When he heard me say this, he looked at me, astonished from what I said. A couple of seconds later, he finally recovered from shock, and gave me a death glare.

"You... How did you know about the organization?" His tone has a tint of anger and wariness. But I decided to ignore this, and gave him a shrugged.

"Who knows."

Though, like some people say, 'Karma' will come back to hunt you soon enough... If I had known this in the first place, I wouldn't have done any of this except for telling the king that they're traitors in the first place.

Sigh... I'm about to end up regretting my actions...
