-Clap! -Clap! -Clap!
In amidst of the silence, a loud clapping sound echoed throughout the room, making everyone turn their attention to where it came from.
And there he was....
With an amused smile on his face, King Adam continued clapping for a few seconds before saying, "Congratulations on defeating Arnold all by yourself, Sir Blanc."
Slashing my sword diagonally on the air, the speed of the slash was enough to remove all the blood from my short sword, and then I placed it back inside my pocket ring.
I took a deep breath, glanced at King Adam's direction, and bowed my head slightly, saying "I Thank you, Your Majesty." with a wry smile inside my mask.
I really did it... I killed him by my own hands, I thought to myself inwardly. Some part of me felt bad, while some.... felt sympathy, maybe?
Right now, I couldn't get a grasp of what's this strange thing I'm currently feeling, but I decided to ignore this and went on to continue.
The King gestured his hands to order the knight on his side, to take Jack to the dungeon, which was on the bottom of this castle.
In fact, the knights on his side could have helped the fight earlier, but I already told the King not to interfere yesterday if something like this happened. Although dealing with Arnold could have been more faster if I received help, I couldn't just let this kind of opportunity to go south.
I really need to face reality head-on if I want to survive this world.
Not long after the knights picked up Jack, princess Persia tugged on my left arm, while William tugged on my right.
"That was really scary!" Persia had teary eyes when she pressed her face deeply onto my arm while saying that.... Hey! don't rub your nose to my arm, I rebutted to her inside my mind.
"Hm, hm!" William nodded his head in agreement... Not you too! Also, why do look more worse than her? I thought inwardly, seeing him rub his nose, leaving small traces of saliva and lots of disgusting things from his nostril.
"Ugh!" I accidentally groaned out loud. Thankfully, no one was able to notice this, as they all focused their attention to the King who walked towards my direction.
"Sir Blanc, would you mind joining us for a dinner?"
I don't know if he was either asking me politely or giving me an order due to his tone being firm, yet soothing at the same time.
"Oh, I apologize. I won't be joining your dinner because I have much more important things to do." I bowed my head respectfully as an apology. Like for example, escaping this castle before things get out of hand, I inwardly thought.
"I see..." King Adam let out an all-knowing smile, as if he already knew what I was planning to do in the first place.
His ability to sense or understand what the other party was thinking is without a doubt incredible, that it gives me a feeling that I should be more weary in him than anybody else.
I was about to wave my hands to leave when suddenly, my hands shrank in the process.
"Shit." I cursed out after seeing that my hand turned back into it's normal size.
I immediately placed my hands inside my pocket not long after I saw this as I turned my head towards the door at my back. But right where I was about to step out to large door, prince Ryan pulled my collar on the back.
"Are you really that ignorant to even ignore the King's invitation?" He said, pulling me back to where I was earlier. This motherfu--!?, right where I was about to curse at the brat that was pulling me on the back, my whole body suddenly shrunk, as my mouth was instantly covered by my clothes, stopping me from what I was about to say.
The mask I was wearing fell on the ground, and Jack who was just outside the large door being dragged away by the knights saw my whole face, which I had an annoyed expression.
Troublesome, I must say... I clicked my tongue in my mind.
"Fuck!"
***
An hour later...
With my arm that was resting on the dining table, I slumped my back onto the chair, tired from what had happened earlier.
I was about to stab the steak I was staring at when I suddenly heard a loud and annoying laugh across my direction.
"Hahaha!!"
"... Tsk!" I clicked my tongue in frustration, switching my attention to the King that has a dumb expression on his face.
"Who would have thought that the potion you have been using will lose effect in the worse time."
"Shut up." Staring at him annoyingly, I let out a long sigh of contempt after hearing his comment. Fuck! Aren't the potion supposed to lose effect after an hour? I inwardly thought. Though it didn't take too long for me to realize the reason for that.
"It seems like I've hit the jackpot..." I muttered out loud.
Right before I left the place Chief and I decided to meet up, I remember him saying something like, "One of the potions there lose it's effect after 30 minutes, and I accidentally mixed it up inside. So if you ever get lucky, there's a big possibility that the potion might lose it's effect at the wrong time."
Lucky my ass... I've been found because of this!!
Sigh... Though, It might've been my fault, too, for ignoring to his warning in the first place.
"But! Who would have thought that sir Blanc was a child like Persia and I am." William looked at my direction with a bright expression. "But, that might not be bad at all.
"Yes... That might not be bad... Kufufufu." Ryan made a mischievous smile, that made me spilled my drinks to my clothes.
Fuck!, I cursed inwardly. Technically, because of what happened earlier, I'm regretting that I've ordered William to feed Ryan that "SHIT".
While giving him a side glance, I've forced myself to smile, saying "O-Oh please, forgive me already for ordering William to feed you that shi-- I mean food earlier." while stuttering a bit.
"Are you really sorry for what you've done? If so, why don't you grovel yourself to my feet while saying that." He said, holding his head high with a smug expression.
"I take it back. I'm not apologizing to some overly spoiled-brat." I said in the most sarcastic manner I could make.
"You bitch!" Ryan stood up and tried attacking me from all direction. But, I managed to dodge all of them pretty much easily.
"Damn, you're too slow for a teenager. Do you even train your body, kiddo?"
"Fuck you!"
"If you insist." Saying that, I made a flip, kicked his chin that was strong enough to send him up in the air.
The guards who saw this had a shocked expression, as they later helped him get up after falling to the ground.
Seeing them helping his son get up, King Adam sighed.
"Hey, Athan."
"Hm?"
"So, what are gonna do now? Yesterday you said that you wanted train until you're twelve to enroll to the Aspirant academy, right?"
"Ah, yes. Since I've already fulfilled what I came here for in the first place, I might as well train for three years." I answered his question with a nod.
"I see... Well then, why don't you just stay here. I can train you if you want."
"Really?" Right where I was about to say anything else, Ryan suddenly raised his voice, making us turn our attention to him.
With his right hand holding onto his chin, he pointed his left fingers right at me. "Wait, father. Why do you want to train him when you don't even train me?"
"...Because you didn't asked."
"Ugh!" Ryan's expression looked like he had been hit by a bullet in the heart... It was satisfying. "All this time, I've been hesitating to ask you to train me...."
Sighing, I looked at him in disgusted, saying "That's your fault for being an idiot."
He went silent after hearing what I said. Probably, because he knew what I said was right that he couldn't refute.
Seeing this, King Adam made a fake cough before continuing his sentence from earlier.
"If I train you here, I'm sure that you'll get more stronger than training by yourself. Although I'm weaker than your father, let alone your mother, I can still assure you that you'll improve drastically because I have taught three students that became successful before. But, in return, could you train William and Ryan in magic?"
Ryan who was looking down earlier, finally raised his head up to look at his father, the King.
"No way! Not even in a million years! I don't want my master to be a child."
Although this case wasn't the same for William, as he began nodding his head in excitement after hearing what King Adam said.
"Hm! Hm!"
"Hmm... I see. Although that is surely a tempting offer, I'll think about it for now."
King Adam nodded after hearing my word, as he then stood up from his sit, and walked towards the window, staring at the clouds that was covering the sun.
"I see... I'll let you think about it for a few days."
