There are actually two common method of utilizing mana. These two are: enhancing body with mana (Enhancer), and emission of mana to the outside (Caster).

Enhancer are the most commonly seen amongst the combatants who utilize their mana to strengthen their strength, defense and agility by enhancing their bodies with mana or magic. They are common for knight, swordsman, and other who specializes in close-combat.

As for Caster, they have the ability to bend their surroundings at their will by casting a spell that gives off a certain effect on their targets or surroundings. They are commonly called as Mages and Magicians.

Though, there are few rare cases that some people had the ability to use both of this method. And these people are commonly called as Battle Mages.

Unlike the two common-most method when utilizing mana, Battle Mages had the ability to strengthen their bodies using mana like Enhancer and use spells like Caster.

Athan, the name of the person who's body I was possessing, was obviously a Battle Mage.

And so, these are three are the commonly and uncommonly method when using mana in these 'world'... Remember, the keyword is 'World'.

In the novel, after passing through the [chapter 1184 'The World From Within The Others'], Arthur will be transported in another world that was different from this world.

That world was technically advance similar from my past life, but the only thing that was different was that that world had other races except humans, and they have the ability to use mana.

Clearly, although the 'otherworlders' had slight similarities when utilizing mana, they would also have different method when using mana.

Actually they have five method when using mana. These are: Enhancer, Emitters (Caster), Dual (Battle Mages), Sorcerer, and last but not the least, Channelers.

Sorcerers are like Caster, but the only thing that was different was that they use magic items like grimoire, artifacts and other tools that can only be activated using mana.

In that world, Sorcerers are actually like Scientist. The only thing that was different was that they study magic instead of science.

Then, as for Channelers, they have the ability to channel their mana on object to strengthen them, enhance their damage, and freely control those objects by their will. They can also use mana to strengthen their bodies like Enhancers, but the only thing that was different is that they couldn't cast spells to their surroundings and target even though they have an affinity crest.

Now, to understand things more easier, below this are the summarized version.

Enhancer - can possess incredible strength, defense and agility by enhancing their bodies using mana or magic. They can also enhance their weapons to strengthen it's damage and durability, but they're unable to freely manipulate the weapon like extending their length, weight and many things unlike Channelers.

Caster/Emitters - has the ability to bend their surroundings at will by casting a spell that gives off a certain effect on their targets or surroundings.

Channeler - has the ability to channel their mana onto an object to strengthen them, enhance their attack damage, and freely control the object by their own will. They can also enhance their bodies with mana like Enhancer.

Battle mage/Dual - has the ability possess both of the enhancer and caster, but more stronger.

Sorcerer - uses artifacts like grimoire, magic items, things that can circulate mana to activate, and etc.

"Sigh...."

Sighing, I stared at the two girls who are fighting before pinching the middle of my brows in contempt. "When did she awakened her ability?" I asked without removing my eyes from the arena.

"Hmm... The same time she awakened her crest." My mother answered as she crossed both of her arms on her chest.

Stretching my arms up, I yawned and took a sat down on the seat. "I see..." Saying this, I raised and placed my right leg above my left.

𝘏𝘮𝘮... 𝘐𝘴 𝘮𝘺 𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 '𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵' 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥? 𝘐𝘧 𝘴𝘰, 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 '𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵' 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘺𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯? With this thoughts in mind, I supported my elbows with the armchair and my chin on the back of my hands.

𝘕𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘈𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘳𝘥... Suddenly, I had a flash back the time when we came in the empty house. 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦... 𝘐𝘴𝘯'𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘳𝘥, 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵?

Clicking my tongue, I silently stared at the battle the was happening in the middle of the arena.

"Let just figure it out later on..."

*Clang! Clang!*

*Triiiing!*

Jumping back, Chloe used the string that was hiding in her clothes, shaping it into a glove as she gripped her fist tightly before enhancing her physical abilities using mana and rushing forward to punch Alicia from below.

"Huuup!" Chloe left a small crater beneath her foot as she appeared on Alicia's side.

Surprised, Alicia managed to barely react at her attack by using her ice magic to parry the incoming fist below her abdomen.

*Creak!*

The ice Alicia used as shield shattered, but, fortunately, it gave her enough time to react as she hopped back and carefully landed on her feet a couple of meters away from Chloe.

"What was that...?" Alicia asked herself. "No matter, let just get this fight over with." Summoning thousands of ice swords from the sky, Alicia made it rain down to the ground like a bullet.

[Icy Heaven]

Seeing this, instead of trying to dodge this, Chloe used her strings to either cut the swords or destroy them into pieces.

*-Ting!*

*-Cling!*

*TRIIIIING-!*

It released a loud glass breaking sounds after hitting, that echoed throughout the whole arena.

Noticing that what she was doing was futile, Alicia rushed forward to attack. This action was already predicted by Chloe as she smirked when Alicia was about to reach her.

The moment Alicia's spear was about to reach Chloe's head, the string that was hiding below her footing suddenly appeared and caught her by surprise.

Gritting her teeth, Alicia jumped and forcefully twisted her whole body to avoid that hidden attack. But, unfortunately, the strings had managed to put few scratches on her cheeks, shoulders and legs.

Using the momentum and force she gained after twisting her body in air, Alicia took advantage of this and activated his lightning magic to teleport behind Chloe as she summoned out a small ice, that was the same size of a pebble and was also covered in lightning.

[Lightning Exchange]

Without wasting any time, Alicia aimed her palm and palmed Chloe from behind. Because of the momentum and force when she twisted her body, when her palm reached Chloe's behind, it created enough force to throw her off from her balance.

*--Splurt!*

The small ice penetrated on the upper shoulder part of Chloe as she let out a pained groan.

"Ugh!"

When Chloe was about to take a step and turn her body towards Alicia, the part where the attack had managed to hit her suddenly released a spark that electrocuted her insides.

"Gahh!!" She was left paralyzed because of this. Taking advantage of her being paralyzed for a split-seconds, Alicia strengthened her whole body using mana and once again used her lightning ability to appear in front of Chloe.

[Lightning Exchange]

Clenching her fist tightly, Alicia used her remaining strength to punch Chloe in the stomach, while also hoping for her to fall unconscious.

*Thud-!*

Chloe's whole body was thrown off the air until she hit the wall, creating a huge crater that managed to shook the whole arena.

*Creak... CRACK-!*

Chloe fell on the the ground unconscious, as Alicia who had a hard time to remain standing stared at her for a couple of moments before lifting her head to look at the principal.

"I won... Can we get back at the room now?"

The whole place went silent for a couple of seconds, including Athan who remained in his seat, before the principal shook her head and flicking her fingers.

With this, Alicia won their pointless duel... Which I don't know why it happened in the first place, but... Yeah?

"Congratulations." Said Eva as we where sent back to her office... No. We were sent back to the same Infirmary room where I rested for a week... I think?

The nurse, who just finished cleaning and was about to leave the room, turned to look at us, surprised.

"Umm.... Can I ask about what happened to her?" The nurse pointed her fingers towards my sister, who was laying on the bed.

"Nothing much. You can leave now." The principal answered as she shoo'ed her off. "Anyways, shall we start discussing why I called you guys here?"

All of us nodded when we heard her question. Seeing this, Eva collected her breath and turned her head specifically to me and my mother.

"You guys do know that there are only two methods when utilizing mana, right...? While Battle Mage being an exception, this girl (Chloe) used a different method when utilizing mana."

When they heard this, all of them became surprised, except for me and my mom who remained silent.

"And... these two over here seem to know of something." Eva squinted her eyes as she repeatedly looked at me then my my mother.

Crossing her arms, she continued.

"Are you two gonna talk or what?"

Okay, guys, on Christmas day, I decided to make you choose what my special chapter will be. Pretty much, a gift for you readers.

A.) One longer chapter (probably exceeding 3000 words since I can't make more than 1 chapter in row)

B.) A short special chapter about the main character's girlfriend/what will happen to him/the people he's about to meet in the future. (Note : You guys will choose on one of the 3/, while I'll also be putting ⬛ to hide some important details. And don't ask me to make r18 scene because that will be on the future. This special chapter was meant to be short.)

C.) Spoiler on who's the main heroine, when will the main character meet him, and if they will ever live to see the happy ending. Meaning, none of them will die during romance... Tragic love, to say the least. Anyways, I will only be spoiling a little bit in this chapter. (Note : this will only be a storytelling, and was not the same as the (B.) option.)
