Too Much Trouble On The Way 1

Seeing Charlotte entering my room without permission, I couldn't help but breathe out exasperatedly. I mean, who in the right mind would enter a guy's room without their consent? Much more, when they're about to sleep!!

𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘨𝘰𝘥 𝘐 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦... I thought, poking my head out of the darkness above the ceiling.

Earlier, I was lazily laying on my bed when I suddenly heard a loud knock on the door. I was about to give a reply when I sensed a strong intent coming from outside. Without wasting much time, I activated my skill [Darkness Maneuver] to hide, at the same time, she went inside.

"She's still angry at me for not showing up yesterday, I see..." Blinking my eyes a couple of times, I managed to take a glimpse at my reflection after she moved away from the mirror. Anyone who see me like this would probably be scared the hell out because what I was doing was straight like from a horror movie.

"Enough of that." Murmuring to myself, I slowly went inside my little hiding spot, and waited for Charlotte to leave my room.

By the time Charlotte finally gave up, I still didn't let my guard down and waited for thirty minutes on the ceiling, still expecting her to show up.

Thankfully, this thoughts didn't happen.

After waiting for thirty minutes straight without moving an inch of from the darkness, I decided to hop off the skill, and tiptoed towards the door. Not gonna lie, I look like an idiot while doing this.

Using my dark magic, I took a peek outside by combining my sense of sight with the dark I poured out from my palm on the floor.

"Safe."

Soon after I confirmed that she was gone, I breathe out a sigh of relief. Then, stretching my arm up, I scratched my back and went back to my bed to sleep.

Sitting down on my bed, I took the blanket, that fell on the floor earlier, and laid down on my bed. Slowly, I closed my eyes and let my consciousness fade, making me fall asleep.

Staring at the huge closed gate in front of them, ⬜ and the others couldn't help but get nervous. They were about to be engaged into the battle. Almost all of them knew about the person who sacrificed himself inside for the others to escape. He should be dead by now, and he was deemed as heroic, indeed...

"It should be opening now..." Someone from the Team Alpha spoke. His voice was cowering nervously.

Soon enough, the gate slowly opened. All of them prepared their stance, raised their shields and bow, readied their swords for battle.

The battle will be long, however. Or so they thought it would be...

But...

*Shuuuuuuuu-*

The soldiers and warriors including ⬜, sense of fear grew, as well as they were left stunned.

Staring right them, seated on a mountain of corpse of the 🔳, the man wearing a bloody devil mask eyed down at them coldly, that sent shivers down in their spines.

His eyes balefully gleamed from above, as he stared at the soldiers and warriors that came from another world.

It wasn't just like normal fear they all felt during the huge invasion.

This one...

It was purely Terror.

"That took long enough..." The man above the corpse voice echoed. He looked at the people outside the gate for a minute before breathing out a sigh, and slashing his sword down to remove the blood.

Not wasting any more time, he stood up and hopped down from the huge mountain of corpse that was laying on the ground.

Seeing him walk towards their direction, the soldiers behind ⬜ froze. They wanted to run away and flee, but their bodies didn't listen to their orders. All of them felt overwhelmed seeing the man. They were left frozen on spot.

Soon, the man walked past through ⬜ before disappearing into thin air. They didn't know how it happened, because they didn't feel any mana fluctuations when the man suddenly disappeared, so they remained in the same position, until a girl behind the crowds of soldiers and warriors spoke.

"It was him. That was the person I told you about who sacrificed-No, the person who decided to let himself get left behind during the escape."

When they heard this, almost all of them couldn't help but swallow their saliva.

Many of them knew who that person is and had seen him during the training ground. That man looked weak... No. There's no doubt that he was weak when they saw him. And yet, they were still at a lost for words after witnessing that weird and frightening event. Not just that, he was able to end an army that was roughly estimated to reach almost a billion on his own!!

Of course, that wasn't just that. There were still people who tried to bully that guy during the whole week of training. Who wouldn't be scared of that?

If they had the ability to turn back in time, those bullies would have slapped their past self; probably, beating themselves half-dead for doing such outrageous.

If only they could apologize right now without dying...

Who knows? Maybe in the future, they could if the man let them.

That is, if they were still alive...

"A dream?"

Waking up, I sat up from my bed and did my daily stretching before going to the bathroom to take a quick shower.

Soon after, I changed into my school uniform, went out and locked the door. Next, I proceed towards today's class... The most troublesome of all.

"Haaaa...." I sighed exasperatedly while walking. I wasn't actually paying attention to what's in front of me, so I accidentally bumped onto some students I don't know.

"Ah... Sorry." Turning my head towards the boy I bumped into, I bowed my head in apologetic way. Without wasting any more time, I continued on my way.

I was about to take another step when suddenly, the boy I bumped into grabbed me on the shoulder with an angered look.

Before I could turn around, a thought suddenly came in my mind.

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘸𝘢𝘺? 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢 𝘣𝘶𝘮𝘱... 𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵, 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘊𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦'𝘴 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘴. My lips curled up. What a great plan this is.

You see, if I were to skip her class, Cossette would always come find me directly and ask for the reason for my absence. Not only that, I can't even make a lie to her because she could easily see through my lies for some unknown reason. It was because of this that I couldn't skip her class even though I wanted to.

Laughing maniacally in my mind, I stopped walking and decided to go~ with the flow~~

"Who said that you can go?" He gripped my shoulder more tightly seeing that I wasn't paying attention to him. I don't know who this person is, but god I'm thankful for your arrival.

"So-sorry!" I got on my knees and groaned, acting like a wimp in pain. Turning around, I swallowed my saliva and looked at him in fear. I need an award, baby!

Smirking, he kicked me on the abdomen. "That's right. Learn to know your place. Next time, pay attention to where you're looking or else..." His eyes gleamed coldly, staring at me with a straight face.

Although I wanted to laugh loud because of my ridiculous, that for some unknown reason had worked, shit-like acting, I bit my lower lips to keep a straight look... Gotta say, Cheers for the Third-Rate Villains!

I was about to say something to the boy when he suddenly grabbed me on the hair, and pulled me closer to him before kneeing me on the chin. I didn't need to act on this one, because it actually hurt!

"Gah!" My head bent upward, and boy it didn't end there. He decided to throw more punches and kicks, until I was down on my knees, blood slowly pouring out from my mouth.

𝘏𝘦𝘺! 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘮𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭? 𝘐𝘵 𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘴, 𝘺𝘢 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸? I didn't say this out loud as I coughed out some blood.

"Hmm, what's with that glare?" He bent his body and tilted his head, staring at my face downward... I feel like something bad was about to happen.

Just like I thought it would be, something bad 'did' happen.

The boy was about to punch me in the face for the last time when suddenly, I saw two fist coming from the view on my side. It was heading directly at his face.

𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐'𝘮 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵...

The boy was thrown back a couple of meters away from me, and stopped after his head hit the wall.

What came next to my view was Alicia and Chloe, staring at the boy with a menacing look.

"I'll kill you." Alicia's cold voice echoed in the empty hallway. My body tensed up when I saw the both of them as my mouth opened.

After a brief seconds, I shook my head to remove myself from shock.

I was about to say something when someone suddenly pulled me on the back of my clothes. It was Athena.

"How dare you!" Blood flowed out from his nose as he tried to stand up. He grinded his teeth and raised his hands, pointing his fingers towards the both of them.

"I'll make you both regret this!"
