His Arrival 3

"Why aren't you looking at me instead of him?"

After I said this words to her, Eleanor blinked a couple of times as she tried to process what I was talking about. By the time she understood what I meant, her face became flustered as she stuttered while uttering her sentence, "W-what? W-why am I not looking at y-you...?"

Before she could even add more, I cut her off and spoke, "Why can't any of you guys remember anything? While I'm always suffering from this endless cycle, all of you guys continued living as if nothing happened!" I began to tear up as I forced myself to continue, "Why can't any of you see my suffering... This life... Even my other lives, things won't progress unless I became forgotten."

I fell on my knees when I heard the notification from my head. Eleanor could only look at me with surprised and confusion. She didn't know why I (or actually, the real Lucius) was currently having a mental breakdown.

With a tensed expression, she crouched down for a bit and decided to return my hug by placing my head to her chest as I cried. She then proceeds to pat the back of my head, hoping for me to calm down. "There, there..." Eleanor stroked my head gently like a child. At this moment, I felt my heart becoming warm for a second. Her hands that was rubbing the back of my head felt soothing, like as if it was the first time I was being held by mother. I guess Lucius isn't the only one getting emotional.

"It hurts..." I mumbled, tightening my hug a little bit, "It really hurts that I'm always going to be forgotten by everyone in the end."

I ignored the notification that popped out from my vision and let my head sink deep to her chest. I thought, ignoring the everything except for her.

This lasted for a couple of minutes before my body began to feel heavy... It seems like I've forced myself too much today.

My vision became blurry as I couldn't properly see her face when I slowly raised my head up to look at her. Without fighting back tiredness, I closed my eyes and let my consciousness slowly fade.

"Ellie... I'm sorry." Was the last thing I could muster before falling unconscious.

.....

Few hours zipped by.

At the meeting- Moss could be seen standing next to the doorway, waiting for Eleanor to arrive. Next to him was Danica, who had her arms crossed, as she remained silent while in deep thoughts.

Danica was wondering how long she had to wait for the two to arrive. And she was starting to get impatient like the others because of it.

"When will that girl would arrive? It's already been thirty minutes, I don't have time to wait for her." The man Lucius killed on his last regression, Ronald, said so impatiently, "If she don't appear within fifteen minutes, I'll leave this meeting."

The others, except for Moss and Danica, all nodded their head in unison, agreeing to his condition. They too have waited long enough. Obviously, they're already starting to get a bit impatient.

"Look here." Moss motioned his hands to gather their attention, "I'll apologize for her being late in this meeti-"

"There's no need for you to apologize, Mr. Moss."

Before Moss could even continue, Danica cut him off and stopped him from apologizing, before turning her attention to Ronald. She said, "If you people already feel too impatient, no worries, the door is always open for you to leave, because it wasn't even locked in the first place." Danica made a slight gesture, pointing her index finger towards the door.

Everyone was shocked when they heard this. Even Moss became slightly confused because of her actions. This was the very first time they saw her didn't try to insult Moss or Eleanor, or cover their mistake, in front of the people inside the meeting room.

The all the people inside the room was shocked that they forgot t

Moss took a quick glanced at her direction before turning his attention back to the people inside the room.

Heaving out a short but deep sigh, Moss returned his attention with Danica back to the door a few seconds after they collected themselves, while ignoring the other people.

He was about to say something when suddenly, the door began to open up. As the girl entered the room, they finally calmed themselves down. The room was now left with silent.

Breaking this silent atmosphere, when Moss noticed that she came alone without the man she was talking about, he decided to speak up. He asked her, "Young Lady, may I know who's the person you said you'll be introducing on this meeting? Where is he anyway?"

When Danica heard his question, she briefly looked at Eleanor's back just to see that she was alone. Because of this, she clicked her tongue as she waited for her to answer.

The other people seemed to be clueless about what Moss meant so they remained silent, waiting for her to give a reply.

"Umm, about that..." Eleanor slowly averted her eyes to avoid their gazes, "I apologize. He won't be able to come in this meeting because of some trouble that occured earlier..."

"Some trouble? What kind of trouble, Young Miss?" Asking these questions, Danica furrowed her brows as she crossed both her arms to her chest. Although anyone who saw her like this would have called her adorable, if it wasn't for the intense seriousness vibe inside the room, some might have lost themselves and pinched her bubbly cheeks.

"That's... confidential." Eleanor silently replied, "He told me that he'll come on the next meeting. He also said that we should use this meeting to discuss the future of my late father's company, and also converse about if we're going to agree in his term."

The room once again became silent for a couple of moment.

It was until one of the people wearing a round glasses spoke up, "Young Miss, may we know what you meant by 'his' terms? Did the person you were talking about gave you a proposal alone and you accepted it without even discussing it to us."

Even though his voice sounded sarcastic, the people still ignored this, and waited for a response.

"Yes and no," Said Eleanor. "Although he had indeed gave me a proposal, he said that he'll wait until we discuss about this on our meeting and agreed as a team before accepting his terms."

"How can you be sure that he's trustworthy and won't sell us to the others." The person who asked was Ronald's secretary, Kelly.

Before Eleanor could say something, Danica was the one to answer her question. She said, "I've already confirmed that the person she was talking about is trustworthy yesterday."

"You've already met him..."

"Yes. Our Young Miss called me yesterday saying that that guy wanted to meet me. After we met up in one of his building, we talked about something related to this company..."

When they heard this, one of them raised a question.

"May we know who this person Eleanor had been talking about?" The man turned his head towards Eleanor's direction with a questioning look.

"His name is Lucius Granhart."
