Chapter 13 Eye-catching Embroidery

The sky above the town was overcast.

Most of the townspeople were a little depressed and nervous.

Sherman didn't say anything. He just did his things quietly.

The wooden houses were built one after another, attracting everyone's attention.

It was so new and much better than their old house.

The team went out early and came back late every day, bringing back a lot of materials.

It was not far from the goal of the ten wooden houses.

The town had been quiet since the death of Regan and Ted.

No one saw Catlow and knew what he was doing.

Sherman could see from the blueprint that Catlow had been staying at home all the time, but he hadn't sent people to arrest him.

As long as Catlow didn't make any trouble, Sherman would ignore him for the time being.

Two days passed.

Sherman felt bored and went to the silk weaving workshop.

Mrs. Ted and Mrs. Regan were both working in the silk weaving workshop.

At this moment, women in the weaving workshop were having a rest. Only Mrs. Ted was quietly beside them, embroidering a handkerchief.

The delicate image slowly appeared on the plain white cloth.

Sherman stood aside quietly, seeing. Someone was about to call Misted but was stopped by Sherman with a gesture of silence.

He enjoyed it and calmed down.

Mrs. Ted was a little thirsty. When she put down the needlework and raised her head, she was startled by Sherman.

"Mr. Marquis."

She lowered her head and greeted him gently.

"Hello, Misted. Are you embroidering a handkerchief?"

Marquis must have been watching it for a long time.

Mrs. Ted was a little embarrassed. She closed the handkerchief in her hand as if trying to hide the drawing. "It's my interest. I just enjoy embroidering."

"It's beautiful."

Sherman praised sincerely, "I wonder if you have any other finished handkerchief. Can I borrow it?"

"Of course, of course."

Mrs. Ted immediately found a finished handkerchief and handed it to marquis.

Sherman also caught a glimpse of the one in Mrs. Regan's hand.

The women were all skilled at making exquisite patterns. Sherman, who had lived in the city all the time, was amazed by their cleverness.

"If they were in Nita City, the civil people would be crazy about it."

Sherman, who was a businessman, had other thoughts when he saw this.

After all, in Nita City, those rich women had no limit to pursuing beauty.

He held the handkerchief in his hand and looked at it carefully.

It might be a waste of their time if this embroidery work was only used to embroider these little things.

While he was thinking, Sinard broke in.

Sinard was immediately attracted by the handkerchief in Sherman's hand.

"What a beautiful handkerchief!"

Sinard couldn't help but exclaim, "Can you give it to me?"

After getting the approval from saintess, Sherman knew that this small handkerchief was worthy.

"If you want this handkerchief, you have to ask for Mrs. Ted's opinion. It belongs to her."

Sherman put the handkerchief on the table carefully and said to Sinard.

Mrs. Ted?

Sinard thought for a while and asked, "Are you talking about the wife of the Ted family, Anna Bell?"

"Anna? I don't know her name."

Speaking of this, Sherman felt a little embarrassed. He quickly looked at Mrs. Ted's name on the list of Townspeople.

Anna Bell.

"You said she embroidered this handkerchief?"

Sinard walked to the table and looked at the handkerchief with affection. She didn't want to look away from it.

"Yes, it was embroidered by Anna Bell."

Sherman had a rough plan in his mind.

He met Mrs. Ted alone.

"Can you only embroider handkerchief?"

Anna was confused and deliberately sat far away from Sherman.

"No, there are other things."

Such as decorations.

"Did you come up with these drawings yourself?"

Anna nodded.

These were indeed the drawings she had imagined. She was just like a painter who had changed the way to draw on cloth.

Sherman praised her again, "That's great. Here is the thing. I have an idea. I want to ask if you are willing to do it."

Anna and Mrs. Regan were both skilled at embroidering and their designs were outstanding. At least, Sherman had never seen anyone more outstanding than them in the city.

Therefore, Sherman wanted to sell these woven materials in the city, and he might have other things to sell in the city.

Sherman didn't know anything else, but he was sure that some ladies of the nobility would be willing to buy these things.

Because Anna's design was quite pleasing.

"Is that okay?"

Anna asked uneasily, "I have no objection, but you just ask me... is that okay?"

He even praised Mrs. Regan's skills. He meant to appreciate their works.

This made Anna feel both flattered and uneasy.

The thorny swamp was a small place. The speed at which rumors spread was astonishing.

Sherman cleared his throat and said, "Here is the thing. It hasn't been a few days since Mrs. Regan's son died."

Now Mrs. Regan didn't like him at all. Every time she saw him, she glared at him.

If it weren't for the stable income provided by the silk workshop, she would definitely have left.

Anna looked sympathetically at the young and handsome marquis.

He was the victim and was hated.

"I'll bring you some better cloth. You can have a try first. Then I'll send the finished product to the trial market of the city."

Sherman was going to tell Anna everything he could think of. Then he would check if there was any omission and make the agreement clear.

What Anna needed to do was to use her skills to do what she wanted to do. Sherman would pay her a deposit in advance.

Of course, these things had to be selected in a round and sent to different places with different prices.

"I will draw 70% of the final deal price as my channel fee. The rest is yours."

Sherman thought for a while and felt that it was a little unkind to offer such a condition.

"You can raise all your requirements, for example, you want to ask a master for further study, or go out to find inspiration, or need specific silk."

Anna listened quietly without saying anything.

"You can put forward any condition similar to these or any other conditions that are not excessive. I will satisfy you within my ability."

If there was any conflict, they would discuss it with each other to solve it.

"I think I have no objection for the time being."

Anna thought it was a good offer, and she didn't think Sherman didn't give her enough.

"That's great, Miss Anna. Wish us to have a pleasant cooperation in the future."

Anna was stunned by the way he addressed her. With a smile on her face, she said, "Then wish us a pleasant cooperation, Mr. Marquis."
