A Joke And A Truth

"Huh?" Samuel said as titled his head to the right a little "What do you mean bro? it has been seven years since we got system notification."

"Huh?" Alexander said as he heard that and tried to comprehend what Samuel just said to him right now "EHHHH?"

Samuel let out a small laugh before patting his shoulder "I am joking. I am joking. Let me explain it to you. Basically, it's due to the will of the gods and this god-like system. This already planned everything and so we were able to adapt quicker than anybody. Mostly because of the knowledge transfer facility."

He let out a small breath of relief when Samuel said he was just joking with him "Bro you almost got me scared as hell."

"Sorry for that... well anyways I will inform my men to not bother you again and get rid of the couple. I surely won't kill them. At least not directly. I will put them into the lowest level of the jail where they will die with the lack of vitamin D and hunger."

Hearing Samuel say that he was quite impressed. Like this was a good way to give someone a long and painful death.

"So Samuel I think it's time for me to leave... so- like I don't know what to say, bro... my social skills are thrash."

Samuel chuckled "You were talking rather fluently before but I know this. You have always been bad with conversation."

He chuckled with him but suddenly he stopped when he realized how does he know about it? they just met today... so how?

"What do you mean? I mean like... how do you know about this? we just met today right? wait... we are not like really brothers or friends or something like that right?"

Samuel stopped chuckling hearing that and smiled awkwardly "Um... bro... I mean like I felt like! we just met today... yes, we met today."

He knows Samuel is hiding something but he just sighed and smiled patting his shoulder this time "No need to explain Samuel. I have many secrets too... so let's just drop this topic, alright?"

Samuel let out a sigh of relief and smiled softly and gently feeling better now "Thank you for understanding... and don't worry I will tell you everything about us when the time comes. Until then let's just build our relationship again."

He nodded in response "Alright but seriously I wanna leave... maybe go to another kingdom? there are more than one kingdom right?"

"Of course, there are... to be exact this kingdom itself is one of the smallest kingdoms out there. Our earth is 200 times larger than it originally was after all."

"I-I forgot about that part..." He wasn't lying. He really forgot about that since it happened so quickly he couldn't memorize everything.

"It's alright, man. And oh, before you leave Imma take you to somewhere you can hunt a grade three demon and unlock the map."

"Well... what exactly is the map again? Is it similar to those MMORPG game's maps?"

"Indeed. It's exactly like that... almost at least. The system map could be considered better though. Now let's not waste any more time."

He nodded in response and they both started to walk. Samuel walked in front and showed him the way while he quietly followed him since he was too much of anti-social for that but Samuel being a good politician was an extrovert and talked until they reach the "Place".

" Wow..."

That's what came out of his mouth when he saw the giant arena in front of him. It was similar to Colosseum in Rome in size and design but this was obviously new and completely fixed.

"Welcome to the monster arena! Every fifteen hours a grade three monster appear here!"

Samuel explained to him excitedly as the guards of the arena greeted them and showed them the way to enter the arena.

They both followed the guards and soon after a minute of the walk they were inside the arena where people were cleaning the dead bodies of many demons. Mostly they were grade two.

Here finally he could see more types of demons. There were giant peacock demons of nearly size double of those boars, dog and cat demons of nearly the same size as the pigs, giant mice which were smaller than any dead bodies there but compared to humans still big, and countless other types of animals who were modified into demons by the system.

"Never saw them on the way from the place I was hiding to here... are they like rare demons?"

He asked curiously while looking at Samuel waiting for the response which he just shake his head in no.

"No, but they just started to appear around like last five hours so maybe that's why you have not seen them... they are new kinds of demons I suppose..."

At this, he froze as he realized that those demons are not animals who were turned into demons but they are creatures suddenly designed and created by the system.

"So that's what you mean when you said that this place summons a grade three demon every fifteen hours huh? well how much more time is left?"

"I guess it should be..." Samuel looked up at the sky and then at a device close by from there which used the position of the sun ti determine time. It wasn't a device made by the system but Samuel thought about this himself.

"I guess any moment now..."

Just after a second, Samuel said that the ground there started to shake and cracked from place to place as Grade III demon ground worm raised from inside the ground!

"I really have a bad memory with this thing..." He said grinning and then he takes out his dual sword from the inventory before just jumping at the demon "I will fucking kill you!"

Samuel looked at him jump at the demon and smiled softly.

'You are the same as always... even back when everything started... you are so energetic and have the will of killing every demon you see... the strongest deity of planet earth... Alexander Lawrence!'

Yes... Samuel is a Regressor. A man who has returned from the future and already knows everything that's going to happen.
