Ch 4 : Krieg Pirate and escape

While Nami brought Rei away, on the other side of the Barathie, something big had happened.

A huge fleet had come, and it was under the name of the Krieg's pirate, one of the most notorious pirates in East Blue.

Nonetheless, this didn't concern Rei at all, and even if it did, Rei wouldn't give that much care for it. After all, it was just Krieg's Pirate, and Luffy was here to solve them.

Rather than the Krieg's pirate, Rei was more attracted toward the girl right in front of him.

" What is it, Nami? Why do you look so worried?"

" Stop putting an act! Your goal from the start was me, right?"

Nami decided to stop beating around the bush.

Against Nami's forceful reproach, Rei could only smile awkwardly.

It seemed that he was still way too inexperienced about this.

Nonetheless, it was not the time to succumb. His goal was right in front of him, and he definitely could not back down now.

Trying to assume a calm face, Rei opened his mouth:

" Yes.. from the start, my goal is you. However, I don't have any bad intentions for you.."

" ???? "

Obviously that even after Rei said all of this, Nami wasn't going to believe him.

There's just no way. The two had just met now, and even though it was Luffy who introduced Rei to them, Nami just couldn't put herself to trust anyone.

Facing the suspicious glare of Nami, Rei smiled awkwardly.

Racking his brain hard, Rei quickly tried to think of a solution. In the end, he just hoped that he could bullshit his way through this.

" *Sigh* I know all about you, about the condition of the Cocoyasi Island. After all, I have told you before, right? Genzo is my uncle, and I have heard all the situations regarding Cocoyasi Island from him. I'm here right now means that I am confident to help."

Confident in my ass, Rei was actually shaking. His actual plan was actually to finish his mission and quickly go away to leave Nami.

However, it seemed that he needed to take things slowly. After all, forcefully taking Nami would not be a choice. It would only make him being hunted by the son of the plot, Luffy, for making his navigator cry.

It was not like Rei was afraid of Luffy. But for now, it would be a suicide if he was to go against Luffy in his current condition.

At this time, Nami was clearly shocked by Rei's words. But those shocks soon turned into one full of distrust. Nami has been through so much that she would not easily believe in another person.

" Do you think I'm stupid?"

Well, it was a pretty expected reaction.

If someone suddenly came to you and told you that he knew all about you, the first thing you show would definitely get even more suspicious.

Nonetheless, Rei really had no other choice.

For this chance, he would do anything.

He came to Nami as he grabbed her hand.

" Trust me, Nami. Just this one time, please trust me!

Even after being told to let go, Rei didn't let go of Nami. He held Nami's hand tight as this was his only chance to turn things around.

Nami was very annoyed by Rei and tried to make him let go. Still, she didn't have that much of a time.

She watched Rei being a headache and couldn't help but curse in her heart.

But soon, she chose to concede.

" I don't have that much of a time. I don't really know what a pervert like you wanted to do with me, but if you really don't intend to stop, then follow me. We will talk later after I finish my business!"

Hearing this, Rei's eyes glowed.

At least he still had the chance, he thought.

Letting go of Nami's hand, Rei nodded, and he immediately followed Nami. As for where Nami go, Rei didn't really care. Still, he actually had a guess about the business in Nami's mouth.

A while later, Going Merry.

" So, can we talk like normal people right now?"

On top of Going Merry, Nami and Rei were standing across from each other.

Yup, the business just now was none other than stealing Going Merry and going to Cocoyasi island.

Just like in the anime, Nami used the panic from the arrival of Krieg's pirate to steal the Going Merry, but a bit different from the anime, there is Rei with her right now.

Rei scratched his cheek awkwardly, but he had steeled himself.

" I know this might sound a bit weird. But please trust me as I have no bad intention to you! I.. I get stronger from licking someone!"

BAM!!!!

A fist hit Rei's head.

" Can you stop it? Don't you know that you are freaking me out?"

At this moment, Nami's face was already red with shame and anger. But obviously, Rei wouldn't give up yet.

The chance was right in front of his eyes, so there's no way he would stop now.
