Emily got up and left the living room. I did not want her going anywhere but she did.

I was going to talk to Hannah alone. I had imagined it after Emily told me she would set up a meeting for us, but I had not really prepared for this.

It was too sudden. I only wanted to unwind and forget everything happened around me but somehow, they were always there. I could run, but I certainly couldn't hide.

'It's okay. It is not your fault. Your brother just made the wrong choices. That's all.' She was really not angry at me or at anyone.

She sounded calm. It almost felt unreal, like I was imagining things because she was totally different from the last time I met her.

'Do you mind telling me what happened?' I asked.

'No, not at all. You see, Nate and I met through a mutual friend. I wanted a relationship and she set me up on a blind date.'
