I removed the pillow from my face as soon as I heard the door shut and the air that touched my face was very refreshing.


I picked up my phone and checked the time, it was seven already. I needed to go to Emily's as soon as I could so I went to shower.


After getting ready to leave home, just as I was getting my coat, I heard a knock on the door. The person didn't wait for a response before coming in. It was Mauve.


'Hi Kassy, where's Alicia?' She asked, her eyes searching the living room like Alicia was a tiny object that could easily be missed.


'She went on a road trip with Eric.' I said.


'Really? When?' She was still looking around.


'Early this morning. Is something the matter?' I asked.


'No. I just wanted to see her but I can see you instead.' She looked at me and smiled.


Her green eyes, as piercing as ever. The emerald necklace she wore made them even more shiny.
