‘Did he ask you to get me?’ She asked with an expression full of expectations.

‘No, he left.’ I hated being the bearer of bad news, but the cold water had to be poured.

I watched her drop her phone and start the engine with trembling hands and a depressed sigh.

'Yeah, sorry. You can stay till I am ready to go to bed.' I said.


'I'll just leave you to unpack and settle in. I've been here since I arrived last night. It's just a shock that Lily went through so much and no one thought to tell me.' He said and walked out.


He sounded like he was very close to Lily but I had never heard anything about him. He was simply breathtaking.


After unpacking my bag and settling in, I realized I had not even gotten his name. I was going to walk around the house, looking for a blond teenager who had captured my heart with his eyes.


I went to the pictures he was looking at, they were mostly of Lily and I. 


Some which we had taken during summer camp, some from school activities and others from random hangouts we had. 


Every time Lily and I hung out, we took pictures to remember the day and she always insisted on printing her copy out so she could pin it to her wall and look at it everyday.
