'Oh yeah, what brings you here?'

He turned to the girl he was talking to and like he just realized she was there, he held her hand.

'Forgive my manners Kassy, this is Phoebe, my colleague and girlfriend.' His face lit up.

I felt my heart pound against my chest. I had not expected a romantic relationship with him but knowing he had a girlfriend made me feel somewhat bad.

'Phoebe, this is Kassy, the girl I met at the bar.'

He had spoken to her about me. I had made some kind of impact in his life, he had to tell his girlfriend about it.
