The Unveiled 'Weird'

His office was squeaky clean and very cold.

'I know the house is a mess but I can't afford to distract myself with a housekeeper. I have so much work to do in different countries and I don't have enough time to do them. Emily won't listen to my explanation so I didn't bother to tell her anything.'

I pitied him. There was no reason for me to do so but somehow, it felt like the right emotion to feel.

'She just doesn't want you getting sick.' I said.

'Of course. She's now paranoid about everything. She doesn't want anyone getting sick because she thinks they'll die.'

I only nodded. It was already getting weird because Albert and I never spent time alone together.

'Frank told me you worked together.' I was still curious as to how they met.

'Yeah. Emily and Stacy were pregnant with Lily and you at the time.' 

Stacy was my mother's name. She said she loved her name so much but I was not crazy about it.
