I watched her drop her phone and start the engine with trembling hands and a depressed sigh.

The police assured us they were doing their best to find Kassy. They had called us all in for questioning and even went to talk to Emily and Albert, yet, there was nothing.

Kassy could have been kidnapped on her way home that day but our neighborhood was one of the safest around, there had been no report of kidnapping prior to that day ad it was almost impossible for Kassy to be the first case.

Mum was now living with me because she did not want to spend long hours alone at her house whenever Frank went to work. I was still on my maternity leave so I had enough time to spend with her.
