Stroke

'Your husband?' He asked.

'Yes, and it's probably about my son, I need to go.' I stood up.

'Okay, Alicia. But it was really nice to see you again, we should spend more time together.' He stood up too.

I looked at his finger, hoping to see a ring, but there was none. I wasn't surprised, he had always hated the idea of marriage.

'There are no rings, Alicia, but there's a woman.' He smiled and walked out of the shop with me.

Somehow, it made me jealous that he was seeing someone else. It had been years since we were together, but I still felt something for him, I kept trying to suppress everything I was feeling with thoughts about Eric, but they barely worked.

'Goodnight Alicia, I hope you find your sister soon.' He stretched his hands out for a hug.

I went in and felt his arms squeeze my body, I felt small in the hands of the giant against my body.

'Goodnight Michael.' I let go of him and walked to my car.
