'Go on, I'll stay.' Mum looked at me and moved closer to the bath.

The rest of them left the bathroom and shut the door but mum sat on the floor beside the bath.

'Kassandra, I have never been so worried about someone in my life. Even when Nate was busy putting himself in all the troubles he did, I was not this worried.' She smiled.

She was crying and smiling. I could not say anything to her. I was tried.

'Your hair,' She touched my hair, 'It's dry and dirty. Let me take care of it. When we go home.'

I nodded.

'Your daddy told me to tell you he missed you and he's waiting with your nephew for you at home. He would have been here, but you know how he feels about things like this.' She laughed and wiped her face down with her palm.
