Why could she not tell her husband whom she loved so much that she was directly responsible for their son's death?

'It's funny you mention Nate. Nate would have died had you been here or not because he was pushed to his death.'

'It was not his own doing or anything. I just wish he had said something, anything, before passing. I wish he had talked about his murderer, that's a beautiful place to start.'

'Kassy, stop it.' Mum said. 

'Why should I? I just don't understand this family. One second, we're alright and the next, we're in all sorts of trouble.'

'You told me it didn't matter if it was a small lie or a big one, everything was a sin. But you've used your lies to make a home and one day it is going to come crashing down with you in it.'

I was trying my hardest not to give away the fact that I knew something dad didn't know of but I had been too obvious.
