Chapter thirty five

Carter's pov

My smile faded quickly as soon as the words left her mouth.

My thoughts went into overdrive trying to figure out what she wanted to talk about, she sounded pretty serious. I shouldn't have interrupted her workout, I should have walked away when I had the chance.

She was going to break up with me before we even started, she took a sip from her water before setting it down trying to catch her breath.

"What?" I asked,

She shook her head, raising a finger for me to her a minute.

She recollected herself and gave me the attention needed,

"I said, we need to talk." She voiced out,

"About what?" I asked,

I sounded confident but deep down, I was panicking.

"Okay then, let's go upstairs," I suggested,

She nodded her head, leading the way to the kitchen.

I stared at her the whole time wondering what she wanted to talk to me about, we have had no issues or arguments for all I know.
