Chapter sixty six

Dermot's pov...

I heard the sound of my throat clearing making me glance up, my cheeks flushed in embarrassment as I stared into the eyes of my assistant.

She looked at me, the questions in her eyes but I directed my gaze elsewhere.

"You look pretty, I love this color on you." She said,

I smiled as I gave her a thank you.

She was right, everyone loved me and they couldn't look away this morning when I came to work.

Carter was born, he didn't know if he should be proud of his wife or be angry that they were all staring like I am a piece of meat. He grumbled to the elevator where I gave him a big kiss for being such a baby.

He was all hyped up when we left for work together, saying things like how he couldn't wait to show me off and walk beside me.

But when we got here, his face was looking like he ate a lemon.

"Your mind seems to be somewhere else today," my assistant observed.
