Chapter 7

I was pulling my hair into a small bun as I made my way into the kitchen, and I breathed in deeply as the sweet scent of coffee hit my nose instantly, when I was barely in the kitchen yet. I reached for the kettle of coffee as soon as I was done with my hair and proceeded to pour myself a huge cup of it. Ash had made some coffee this morning while preparing for school, and him being the most thoughtful person I know, had decided to leave me some coffee.

And I wasn't supposed to fall in love with him? I think not. I thought as I slid my butt into one of the chairs around the counter right here in the kitchen, and I started to sip from my cup of coffee the next instant.

Once I was done drinking down my coffee, I was feeling a little bit better and less restless than I had been as soon as I had woken up this morning, whigh I was really glad about. Ash's scent was still hanging around the atmosphere of the kitchen till now, which was probably one of the reasons as to why I was feeling a little bit better.

Ash's scent has gotten into one of the things that helps me out when it comes to stuff like bad moods, restlessness, queasiness and the likes, and I wasn't even sure if he knew about that yet.

I rinsed the kettle and cups in the sink as soon as I was done with my coffee and dried my hands off with a soft towel that smelled of flowers, and then I made my way out of the kitchen, heading back to my bedroom really slowly.

There wasn't a lot of time on my side anymore because I have my second class for the day scheduled for ten a.m this morning, and I just couldn't bear to miss it because it was one of my major courses for the year. I was before my reading table after a few seconds and I sank into the chair positioned in the front of it as soon as I had pulled it out of the table. I started to go through my assignments to be sure that I had completed every one of them, because I was going to have to turn in almost everything today.

Once that was out of the way, I picked up my phone and finally started to go through the notifications I had managed to get as soon as I had turned on the data connection. There were some really recent ones from Ash that caught my attention and I clicked on it instantly, scanning my eyes over the couple of texts really fast.

Ashy: Hey, sleepy head.

Ashy: I made you some coffee, so please get to it if you're up and going through your notifications while still in bed. Also, you can just text me this evening if you want a ride home, in case our schedules end up colliding. Bye.

I grinned a little as I reread the texts for the fifth time, and the sixth because I was scanning my eyes over the texts once again. I dropped my phone on my books and breathed out a small sigh, wondering if Ash genuinely had no idea that I liked him, because I didn't think all this was a normal thing for a straight dude to be doing to another guy.

Or perhaps it wasn't anything out of the ordinary for him to leave me texts like these, because I was sure the text was going to look very much platonic in the eyes of someone that didn't have a crush on the person in question that had sent the text. But then I happened to have a crush on the sender of those texts, which was why it was sending my whole insides into feeling like it was being tickled by the soft wings of a thousand tiny butterflies all at once. It wasn't even something unusual between the both of us at this point, I was the one that just couldn't control my stupid horny and eager self into already getting used to getting texts like these from him, because I always end up having the same reactions every time he sent me texts like these.

I puffed out a deep breath and convinced my wolf to calm down because it had managed to get in a hyper mood after sensing how excited that text had managed to make me feel. Once my wolf was already calm, I decided to pick my phone up and respond to Ash's texts, and then I started to type in a reply almost immediately.

Andy: I woke up late because I forgot to set my alarm and so I missed my first class for the day. Also, I ended up seeing the coffee first before getting your texts because I didn't check my phone notifications in bed like you had thought I was going to.

Andy: Anyways, thanks for the coffee, and I'll definitely text you this evening to see if we can be able to ride home together.

Andy: Love you, bestie.
