Chapter 9

Andy's POV

"Gosh, you're so damn snappy today, what got your panties in a twist?"

I puffed out a slow breath, feeling the anger slowly drain out of me and shook my head a little before sinking down into my seat, allowing the angry words that had been at the tip of my tongue to slip back into my throat. After leaving the house at a reasonable time before my next class for the day was going to begin, like I had predicted, my mood had ended up being complete shit even when I got to school.

After exchanging a few words with my two friends as soon as I had stepped into class, some minutes before the professor was going to make their way into the class, I had only managed to exchange a few words with them before slipping into complete silence. They had tried to strike a conversation up with me a couple of times but had ended up leaving me to myself when I had only been showing zero level of enthusiasm and one word replies.

We were currently at the school cafeteria and one of them had ended up pulling on my hair jokingly, but of course that snappy and tense mood inside of me flared up at that and I picked offense instantly. I was expecting my friend to apologize but instead, he started to tease me and I just flared up and started screaming at him without even pausing to think.

And, here we are at the moment.

I was slowly dragging in deep breaths into my lungs and puffing it out slowly, not liking how the cafeteria was currently smelling unpleasantly of a lot of alphas scents mixed together but having no choice but to suck it up because I have to get something into my stomach since I haven't had a thing since the start of today except for the cup of coffee which Ash made me this morning before leaving for school. It was currently four p.m in the evening and I was really glad that I have just one more class left for the day, and then I was going to get out of the stupid school.

"Andy?"

I heard Azriel's voice call out softly from the spot beside me and I slowly lifted my head up to stare at him. He was staring at me with something close to confusion and concern in his voice before he started to speak.

"Are you alright? You've been really moody throughout the whole of today." He said after a few moments and I felt my insides warm up a little as the thought of him still being worried about me even though I had lost it back there and shouted at him without thinking twice.

I shrugged my shoulders a little before starting to respond to him. "Yeah, I am." I responded softly.

"You don't seem fine… you're usually more lively, a lot lively and today you're just so down." He pointed out after some time and I averted my gaze from his and ducked my head a little.

"Perhaps it's just his mood for today? Everyone can't always be in a good mood, you know?" My third friend, Ella chirped in this time from her spot on the other side of our table, voice light and melodious as it washed echoed around the table.

"Don't stress the poor boy out, you've riled him up enough by pulling on his hair and teasing him." I heard Ella continued to speak to Azriel from above me head, like I wasn't right there between the both of them.

I lifted my head up to glance from both werewolves for fleeting seconds before starting to speak, automatically stopping what it was that Azriel had been about to say in response to what Ella had said moments ago.

"No, it wasn't Azriel's fault, he didn't do a thing wrong or unusual, it's just the shitty mood I'm in, that's all." I started to say, with my gaze focused on Ella who had the straw of a smoothie paused a few inches away from her slightly parted lips. I turned my head around until I was staring at Azriel before continuing to speak.
