Chapter 19

"Oh, I am. I finished about two hours ago." He informed me and I felt my heart sink into my stomach as his words settled over me. Disappointment mixing with dread started to settle over me like a blanket the next moment.

"Oh." I whispered into the phone, because I didn't know what to actually say in a moment like this.

"Yeap. But I waited for you to be done so we can go home together…" He continued to speak after a few moments and I felt a smile start to break out on my face, as his words washed over me. It didn't help that some butterflies had chosen that moment to start to practice some kind of dance around the insides of my stomach, making it feel like their wings were brushing over every part of the insides of my stomach.

"Really?" I breathed out, very sure that the laugh was very obvious in my voice at that moment.

"Yes, I did." He paused for a moment before continuing. "So, you're done, right?" He asked and I started to nod my head once again.

"Yes, I am. I'll be down really soon."

"I'm situated at the third gate, beside the phone booth. Can you be able to come on your own?"

The phone booth which was located at the side of the third gate of the school, and that location was quite far from this part of the school building that I was currently in, and I'd have to first climb down a hundred stairs before I can even be out of this building to begin with.

Ella and Azriel were going to go through the first gate, I was going to have to go alone to the third gate where Ash was, and I was a little bit scared because I was sure my suppressant was going to stop working after some time, once an hour and some minutes runs out. Sometimes, the stupid thing doesn't last a complete hour.

I had no idea as to how I was going to do myself if it ended up stopping its work before I got to where Ash was, but me still staying here in class was just me wasting my time which I have left for the suppressant to still be working on me.

"Yeah, I can. I'll be there soon." I said into the phone as I started to push myself to my feet, hating the way my head started to pound once again.

"Be careful please," He said into the phone and I nodded my head as I started to close my bag with my hands, while my ear and shoulder held onto the phone for me. Ella and Azriel were both staring at me at first before rising out of their seats when I gestured for them to do so, a fleeting second ago.

"Alright, I'll be waiting… and call me immediately, if something happens." He said as he ended the call.
