This time, the butler answered him steadily.

"Sir Ronald is here to see you, duke."

Penelope stares at her grandfather who suddenly scoffs after hearing that name. She can easily tell that her grandpa is irritated right now. His eyebrows are also furrowed in annoyance too.

Duke Harrison suddenly remembers that he is in front of a child. Penelope blinks her eyes and looks at him with a confused expression on her face. The duke closes his mouth and silently reminds himself not to curse in front of her. Since he will often see this little girl, the duke needs to refrain himself from doing his habit when he's facing his knights before.

"Why did he suddenly appear in our mansion?" The duke asked the butler.

"Sir Ronald informed me that he has something important to tell the duke."
