Ashnard and Liliya walked through the city, contemplating the plans they would carry out in one day. Liliya just smiled, whether she had prepared it or not. Ashnard chose to follow the girl instead.
A weak voice came from an old woman calling Liliya's name in front of a shop. Ashnard recognized the shop. A flower shop where he often saw Liliya observing her flowers. A variety of plants, not just flowers, fill the front and inside of the shop. The old lady of the shop owner waved her hand at Liliya.
"Liliya, my dear, I've been waiting for you for a long time," she greeted. She was surprised when she saw Ashnard. "Oh, you're the son of the Raegulus, aren't you. I didn't expect you to be together. I know your mother, kid. Your mother used to tell me about you when she bought flowers here."
"Hehe, what are you looking for, granny?" Lily asked.
"My customer wants to order a bunch of river lily bouquets. There doesn't seem to be enough in the store. Can Liliya help me pick some at the river? I will give you some sandwich later."
With great enthusiasm, the girl called out, "Yes, Ma'am! I'll look for it. Come on, Ashnard! This could be our first plan today."
Before Ashnard caught up with Liliya, who ran first, the shopkeeper whispered something, "Kid, Liliya likes lilies, especially the white ones. If you want to make her happy. Just give her white lily."
Ashnard only replied with a nod.
A fresh lily grows outside the city. Liliya shows another gap in the west city wall to lead to the river. Ashnard was even more surprised, knowing that the city walls were full of holes, especially Liliya, who knew something like this.
They walked no more than five minutes until they came to a shallow river. The red lily they were looking for grew on the bank of the river. Liliya immediately took off her shoes and ran to the river.
"Come on, Ash. Take the flowers later," said Liliya. The girl lifted her skirt and brushed the water with her feet towards Ashnard. "The water's not cold, you know."
Ashnard jumped back, trying to avoid the splash of water. "Not fair!" He rolled up his pants up to his knees and jumped as high as he could, so that his landing made a big splash. They are content to play water without fear of getting wet, laughing at each other when the water splashes.
After having fun playing, they rested on a rocky riverbank. With wind elements, Liliya made her hair and clothes dry. Then she used it on Ashnard.
On the other side, a forest stretches not far from the river. Two boys appeared from behind the forest. Upon noticing Ashnard and Liliya's presence, they drew closer.
"Look who's here, Liliya Nelefenor. I never think a girl like you playing in the river," said the boy with black hair. His smile was full of the arrogant impression of a bad person.
"Hello, Rein. Do you want come to play with us?" Liliya replied with a sweet smile. Opposite smiles.
"Don't call me Rein! My name is Reinhard!" he snapped.
Another boy with hair in a ponytail pointed at Ashnard. "Who is that boy next to you? Could he be a commoner? That's why I don't know him."
"What do you care?" replied Ashnard displeased. "Long hair in a ponytail, you must be from the House of Ruishorn, am I right? Many say the Ruishorn is arrogant people. That's also true, right?"
"How dare you! You know, peasant, my father is close to the king. I'll tell the king to throw you out of here," he threatened.
"Stop it, Ulfang. We still have a business, remember? We'll deal with that boy later," said Reinhard calming his friend. He then gave Liliya a condescending look before leaving.
An irritated Ashnard asked Liliya, "Do you know them?"
"Reinhard? Yes and no. Actually, we're not that close. Our parents knew each other. We only met during important events. And next to him was Ulfang. He always accompanies Reinhard everywhere."
Ashnard sighed, "Ah, what an annoying duo."
"Reinhard comes from a famous family, Asberion. He lives in a different world from ours. So I won't be mad at his attitude."
"There's no use thinking about someone like him either. We'd better get the flowers and head back to town."
While picking lilies by the river, Ashnard thought about the shopkeeper's words. He took a white lily but didn't give it to Liliya. He still couldn't think straight because of before. It felt like his heart was too hot to give a meaningful gift. Ashnard didn't want to give Liliya that kind of impression. He then hid the lily in his pocket.
They came back and gave the lily flowers. The shopkeeper looked at Ashnard as if asking her whether she gave it to Liliya or not. Ashnard shook his head.
"Okay, thanks for the help. Here's some bread for you two." The grandmother handed her a basket containing some homemade sandwiches. With simple ingredients: fresh vegetables, cheese, and sliced meat.
Prancing while swinging her breadbasket, the girl always looks cheerful wherever and whenever. Ashnard wouldn't rave about anything about it. Because her smile helped bring a brighter day for Ashnard.
The cheerful Liliya took Ashnard to the places she wanted. She took Ashnard to a clothing store. Shows various dresses to ask Ashnard for his opinion. All of the dresses matched up, from fancy dresses to casual tunics. Ashnard feels grateful to be able to see all the beauty the world gives.
Liliya is a friendly girl. She had acquaintances with almost all the townspeople. From flower seller, arrogant nobleman, to the owner of a painting shop. With his attitude that makes other people feel comfortable around him, every step they take, some people always say hello or give something to her. Even the owner of the painting shop allowed them to paint on his shop.
Ashnard grew more and more amazed at Liliya. When she grows up, Liliya's life won't be difficult. With her many connections, Liliya can get everything so easily.
On sheets of white canvas, they poured various colors. Ashnard uses his knowledge of the beautiful world to draw a masterpiece of art, two mountains with a path in the middle and a sun. Even Liliya herself was amazed by such a painting.
"What are you drawing?" Ashnard asked curiously.
Liliya showed a painting of white lilies that looked beautiful. The flowers are very detailed with neat and not rough lines, and the colors look natural but still give a beautiful impression. The girl turned out to know how to paint.
Seeing Liliya's painting made Ashnard feel insecure about his masterpiece painting.

"Love stories remind me of the harsh reality of my past. I think I'll skip this part. See you later, kid." He then lay back on his hands and did nothing.
