"If your question is sarcastic I won't answer it."
The man ignored the woman and continued to give the still warm bread.
"You're a funny human?" Alfeus stopped walking. "You refuse to answer me, but honestly you can't answer my question, can you?"
Alfeus turned back to face the woman. His gaze was different from before. There was an impression that he was angry but didn't use his anger. "You're wrong. I have the answer. I just won't answer questions from people who take other people's actions for granted."
"Then what is your answer, Lord Knight?"
"Since it's my job, I don't have the mind to make a fuss about it. Forced kindness is better than never once intending to do good. Don't you see that as a natural thing, young lady?"
"Maybe. I'm not perfect myself."
