"That is not the case, Your Highness," Commander Eloria responded to the Fourth Prince when she stood beside him. "It's been a long time since I visited my mother and she is not happy because of it. It's hard to talk with her."
Rayan Varence remained quiet for a while. "It seems like you really don't know how lucky you are, Commander Eloria," he pointed out, turning toward the Commander. "You still have a mother to care for. If I were in your shoes, I would surely spend a lot of time with my mother."
He narrowed his eyes and though a subtle pain could be seen in them, his face was hard to read. This had Eloria wondering many things.
"You seem quite close with my mother earlier, Your Highness," Eloria pointed out after a moment and observed the Fourth Prince when he lifted his gaze again. "I was flustered."
