Owine Varence was finally snapped out of his stupor when he heard Lady Vanora's strange request. Somehow, his defensive side prompted by his illness overtook him and he ended up taking a few steps backward instead of responding to her.

"I have my wound treated and I have no reason to lie, Lady Vanora," he said, sounding quite patient. "And as I said, you don't have to feel responsible."
