King Horace had spent half of the day carrying out an inspection in the capital with his youngest son by his side. The royal guards and even the people who saw their King was surprised by the sight because the King rarely brought any of his children along during inspections. Not to mention that the Prince who came along was the youngest of his sons.
"What do you think, Rayan?" King Horace asked his son when they were slowly riding their horses together. The latter was on his right but around a step behind. "Do you think you benefit from this inspection?"
From the very beginning, Rayan Varence did not show much interest and did not even speak unless his father asked him a question. As the King took note of this, he kept on talking to him so that it wouldn't be too boring for his youngest son who was quite new to everything.
