Chapter 09. Foreign Place

Seeing that, Qian Cheng snorted disapprovingly. 'Just watch, this matchmaking won't last long,' he thought. If he can't refuse this matchmaking, maybe he can stop this matchmaking in the future.

As for An Na, the girl didn't respond anymore. She lowered her head, "Thank you for your kindness and understanding, sect master," she said, finally having no other choice but to comply with her father's wishes.

"Hmm, good. Then you can go," said Xiao Jun.

Hearing that, Xiao An Na said goodbye, followed by Liena.

Before reaching the door of the Hall, scorn and cursing sounded along with her steps. It came from the Elders she passed.

Some Elders thought that Xiao An Na was very arrogant and haughty.

During the trip back to her residence, Xiao An Na was silent, normally she would have asked Liena to talk, but this time it was different.

Turning at the end of Hall's corridor, An Na lowered her head and only watched her feet, her thoughts, and feelings in complete chaos.

Bruck…

Someone suddenly bumped into her and made her fall to the floor.

"Sloppy, why are you in this place? Next time you walk, pay attention to the road you are going on. Useless bastard," the man cursed, he was a disciple of the mist sect, he was around fourteen years old. After saying that, he walked away from the place without giving Xiao An Na a chance to reply.

Some sect disciples always treated the girl lightly, they didn't care about her status as the sect master's eldest daughter. Not all of them, but most of them are.

"Miss… Are you all right?" Liena immediately crouched down and helped the little girl to stand up.

"Oh yes, Auntie. I'm fine. Thank you," Xiao An Na replied as she cleaned her dress. After that, she continued on her way. While Liena, the middle-aged woman just followed behind her.

Xiao An Na chose to use the path that was in the sect's backyard, the path there was quiet, and very few people used it. She wanted to avoid those within the sect.

Along the way, the atmosphere is very quiet. There was no talking and only the sound of their footsteps filled the silence.

"Miss An Na.." Liena said she couldn't stand to see Xiao An Na's attitude which had been silent since earlier.

The girl's reflex turned her head briefly, "What's wrong, Auntie? Do you want to say something?"

"How about we go sightseeing in the kingdom capital, Miss. I heard a festival will be held tonight. I think you will like it," said Liena, she wanted to comfort Miss An Na. She felt sad when she saw the look on the girl's face today.

Xiao An Na sighed harshly, "A Festival?"

"That's right, Miss."

"I can not do it. Did you not hear what my father said earlier? He won't allow me to leave this sect," Xiao An Na replied.

"Besides, I'm not in the mood to do anything, Aunt. I feel so tired, I just want to rest." Xiao An Na said.

Hearing that, Liena took a deep breath. "Okay Miss, whatever it is, I will be right near you," she replied.

Time passed very quickly, the rain that fell in the afternoon did not stop until nightfall. Xiao An Na had just finished dinner, at this time the girl was sitting on a chair by the window reading a book.

Chamomile scent wafted, Xiao An Na reflexively turned her head and saw Liena's arrival with a tray in her hand.

"Miss, I made Chamomile tea and some cakes for you," said Liena as she placed a cup of tea on the table in front of An Na.

"It is late at night, Auntie. Why aren't you sleeping?" asked An Na.

"I can't rest if you haven't slept, Miss."

"Please drink the tea," she added.

"I'm fine, Auntie. Don't worry about me, I'm not sleepy yet, that's why I haven't slept yet," Xiao An Na said and grabbed the cup in front of her.

"The tea is good, Auntie. Thank you," she said again.

The rain that was falling gradually subsided, the sky filled with black clouds was now clean again, showing millions of scattered stars that filled the night sky.

Liena had returned to her room, while An Na was still in the same chair since earlier. She never moved from there.

Right after she finished the tea, her head suddenly felt heavy with dizziness, her vision blurred, making it difficult for her to maintain her balance.

"Why do I suddenly feel dizzy like this?" she muttered, she tried to get up from her position and walked towards the bed, however, her feet had not reached the bed and her vision was getting dark and it managed to make her lose her balance and fall to the floor.

In just a few seconds, an extremely bright light slowly appeared and managed to make her frown.

Right after the light faded, an unfamiliar sight entered her eyes.

"Where is this?" Xiao An Na muttered in confusion. As far as her eyes could see there were only meadows and flowers. There was no one around her but herself. The wind blew gently, carrying a refreshing floral scent.

Her memories of last night's events were still vivid in her mind, about the conversation in the sect hall, about Liena bringing a tea, all of them were still vivid in her memory. How could she suddenly be in this place? Even though she was in her room before.

Ting… Ting… Ting…

The sound of a bell rang out, causing Xiao An Na to turn her head and look for the source of the sound, and at the same time, a small shrine entered her view.

"Eh? Since when the shrine has been there?" muttered An Na, because before she hadn't seen anything around here except meadows and flowers.

Bravely, she stepped and approached the temple, along with her footsteps, she saw a girl who was praying in the temple.

'Maybe I can ask her,' she thought, accelerating her pace even more. She didn't notice that a trident mark was shining faintly on her forehead.

Entering the temple, An Na sat behind the girl. She waited patiently for the girl to finish her prayer.

Xiao An Na's brow furrowed when she heard the girl in front of her keep saying the same thing over and over again, the girl kept expressing regret and asking God for forgiveness. Not only that, but the girl also kept asking to be given a chance to return to her palace once more.

'What sin did she do that she prayed like that?' An Na thought curiously. This was also the first time she had seen someone pray like that.

An Na waited patiently for the girl to finish her prayer. The bell rang again, the girl finally finished, moved back slowly then stood up from her position and turned around.

An unexpected thing happened, An Na froze in place when she saw the woman's appearance.

'How could this happen? Her face… how come her face is so similar to mine?' An Na wondered.

She immediately stood up and approached the girl.

"Miss, may I ask you something?" said Xiao An Na, now she was standing in front of the girl.
