Her first action.

A week passed.

No one came to visit her.

She later found out from the doctor that June's grandfather had warned everyone not to disrupt his beloved granddaughter's recuperation.

Because of this, Aster had enough time to think about everything.

She couldn't recall all of June's memories but she had enough access to understand that she had to do something about these missing memories.

Otherwise, she will be in big trouble. Besides that, she could tell that Katherine's family is not harmonious and there will be high chances of scheming.

So, she needs to protect herself until she adjusts to this life.

And, this is where her past life's perks came into use.

She might have stayed in the castle all her life and didn't meet many people. But that doesn't mean she has no network.

She in fact has powerful and extremely useful connections.

She is a born genius. And, on top of that, thanks to her grandfather, she was taught many things in her sixteen years of secluded life.

She had the top professors in the world as her teacher's.

Starting from self defense to hacking, she mastered all of them. And, she didn't stop there.

In her free time, she started to explore the online world. She didn't leave even a single corner.

With her skills, she even accessed many confidential and highly secured parts of the web.

It is how she met some wonderful people online. Over the years of friendship and mutual trust, they have become a team who help each other and support each other.

However, they never shared any personal information about each other.

They have created their own communication channel with layers of protection and security. It is designed in a manner only the team members can get access to.

As it doesn't ask for retinal scan or biometric or any of such sort, Aster logged into it and right away asked for help.

Her first request was to dig up every information about Katherine June Edgar and her family. As a hacker, she can do it with a snap of her finger but she decided to act cautious and not take any direct actions.

Her other request was to tamper with the future medical reports and scans of this body and falsify that she has amnesia and couldn't recall some of her memories, especially the recent ones.

Her teammates/friends right away agreed to the requests without further questions. This is something they always follow.

When anyone requests something, they will do it without any further questions.

For the next few days, all Aster did was act.

After a few days…

"What's wrong with my granddaughter?" an anxious voice was heard from the corridor.

"Ms. Edgar was fine last week, Chairman. However, in this recent MRI scan, we detected that Ms. Edgar is suffering with amnesia." Aster heard a doctor speak.

"That means you people didn't take care of my granddaughter well! It's been a week since she woke up and no one has identified any changes in her!!" Katherine's grandfather shouted at the doctors again.

"Ms. Edgar has not spoken much in the past few days. When we enquired we were told that it is how she usually is. Moreover, her previous medical reports didn't show any traces of amnesia." Aster heard another brave doctor say.

Noticing that these people are about to open the door to her room, Aster closed her eyes and pretended to sleep. She is not yet ready to face Katherine's grandfather.

Maybe because of the remnant left in the body, she could feel some emotions whenever she saw these people close to June. And, it looks like June is more connected to her grandfather that Aster started to feel heavy in her heart.

Not only because of the remnant but she herself started to get emotional as this reminded her of her own grandfather, General Caesar.

"So, my granddaughter lost some of her memories?" This time the voice is gentler and distressed at the same time.

"She has forgotten most of her recent memories, Mr. Edgar. When we asked her a few questions, she was able to answer most of the questions, however her memories from the past four years started to get fuzzy. We suggest you give her enough time and not to stress her much about anything." a doctor whispered to June's grandfather making sure to stay as quiet as possible.

"And, we suggest you to not cause her any emotional distress. We are afraid she will have to face terrible consequences otherwise." another doctor added.

Meanwhile, Aster smiled in triumph. She felt bad for playing with someone's emotions but this is the plausible idea that stuck her mind

Fortunately, her teammates are really efficient in their work. They did exactly what she asked them to do.

Fooling doctors and making them say this is not an easy task but they did it as if it is a cakewalk to them.

Deciding to thank them later, Aster continued her pretense.
