An affluent and well-respected couple in the area, the Viscount and Viscountess of the Town of Rhoda were well known for their status in the town. They were completely content in every way, save for one thing: they did not have any offspring of their own. They tried for a long time and had several miscarriages before they were finally successful in having a beautiful baby girl, whom they called Ether. They couldn't contain their excitement, and they knew they would do whatever to protect her and make sure she was happy.
