Chapter 14

I took a 180 turn and shifted my body as I suddenly stopped to face them. Running away without a concrete plan is just basically slowly losing. I would just drain myself of energy and will not have enough for myself if ever my flag gets stolen.

"Everyone! You can show yourselves now!" I shouted as loud as I could.

This is the only plan I thought of. I came up with a plan of falsely calling for someone or everyone for them to think that they had been lured into a trap.

"H-Hey! That man is the bait! He has lured us into a trap!"

Panic was written all over their face as they flashed their lights in all directions, standing beside each other, dreadfully waiting for my classmates that was actually not gonna come out because there are none.

'Now, while they are distracted!'

I won't run away from them. I decided to take them down one by one, using tactics and surprise attacks on them. But I doubt it would be easy since I am at a complete disadvantage.

"Huh? There is no one coming?"

"Oi, look, the guy had disappeared!"

"Tsk! He fucking fooled us!"

With someone my physique, hiding behind a thick tree trunk was easy. Not all trees have the same thickness. Some are too thin to hide behind it because they are either still growing or that is the kind of tree or plant they are.

In my hand was some small rock, the size of an adult's eyeballs. I picked it up on my way to hide.

I aimed at a meter and a half to my three o'clock. It hit a tree before it landed on the ground.

*Clack* The sound of the wood getting hit by something solid. I think that is exactly how it sounded to my ears.

"What's that sound?"

One foolish man from the group moved away from the other three to have a look if someone was in the direction.

I needed to do something again to distract everyone, so I had to throw all the remaining rocks from my hands in the opposite direction without them noticing where they came from.

It rained small rocks on my seven o'clock, which made their head turn over to the direction of the sounds. I took a deep breath, fearfully excited about the execution of my plan.

That split second was can not be wasted. As swiftly as possible, I lunged toward the lone student with my clenched tight dominant fist.

I wanted him to notice me a bit later, so he would be unable to dodge my attack on him.

'Aim for the stomach.' I thought to myself, repeating the same words inside my head as I stealthily approached my first prey.

Using their flashlight towards the direction I threw the small rocks, I was completely shrouded by darkness.

"Argh!" The student painfully uttered as his spit spurted from his mouth

when my fist hit him in the stomach.

The student felt his strength leaving his body, instantly collapsing on four limbs after one blow on his abdomen.

As his strength leaves his body, his grip on his flag loosens up a bit becoming a chance for me to snatch it from him before he realizes it. I then vanished back into the darkness before he could call his classmates.

"E-Everyone!" he called out, catching the three other students' attention.

They ran in his direction after seeing him coughing and gagging on his

knees.

"What the hell happened to you, Kevin?!" Aaron asked, looking around with his flashlight to see if others were approaching them.

"S-Someone, someone punched me from the shadows!"

The other two flashed their lights everywhere, but there was no one standing alone in the dark.

"Was it the same bastard that we saw and chased?"

"Hey, Carlo and Ronner, search north and east. I will take west and south. Don't go too far. Just clear the area."

"N-No, don't—"

"You just stay there and recover, Kevin! Leave it to us!"

They split up, just like what I wanted them to do. Thanks to Aaron's hotheaded personality, he did not let Kevin finish his sentence. Now I just need to work with my plan and take them out one by one.

"G-Get back here! That's what the attacker wants us to do! He wants us to split up!"

Before I move, First, I need to hide the flag I have taken from Kevin. Second, I will target either Carlo or Ronner since they seem much easier than the hotheaded Aaron.

"Just where the hell is that bastard hiding? I did not even hear or realize that he had already taken out Kevin."

I should be going towards Aaron, but I can't right now. He still needs to lose more of his shit, so I can take him down. I must agitate him even more.

Between Carlo and Ronner, I decided to take out Ronner first since he has the same physique as me and he is near to me than Carlo.

I don't need no light. Ira said that inexperienced people tend to go to where the moonlight pierces through the forest, where the light is. In the student's case, I could always follow the source of light, sneak upon them, and take them out while they are not looking.

Ronner is not stupid. He hid his flag in his front, so it will be tough to get them, but that's just you thinking I would not pull that out of the hellhole.

There is no stopping me. I'm on a killing spree, although I'm not actually killing them.

"Where should I strike Ronner? Oh, I know exactly where to."

I need to be quick and precise in my actions. Sneaking up on someone has been one of my best abilities. One time, in my high school days, when I had enough of the bullying, I snuck up on my bully and beat the crap out of him with an Arnis stick.

How did it feel? It was the best feeling! Did I feel so satisfied? I did not stop until the other students stopped me. Eventually, I was suspended, and the guys beat the shit out of me too on the day I got back. But it was still the best thing I'd done against a bully. I feel like I could have done worse if no one stopped me.

"Hmm, come out, come out, wherever you are, you little rat!"

"Are you looking for me?" I whispered behind him.

Ronner suddenly swung his arm towards my face, but I was prepared, using my flashlight to block it off. I noticed that he was about to shift his body to face, so I kicked him in the shin, folding his leg and falling down on one but managed to face me nonetheless.

"He's he—!"

Ahhh, don't hate me for punching you in the jaw, Ronner! You leave me no choice! I didn't know my punch packs that well!

'Quick, before they get here.'

I raised his uniform and saw the flag tucked in his belt. I took it and disappeared again into the shadow, but Carlo spotted me before I completely vanished.

He spotted me with his flashlight, thus briefly obstructing my vision.

"You're dead meat!"
