Chapter 102

The urge to stop, confront each of the man-eaters, and fight them was so overwhelming I might actually do it. My toxic trait is telling me that I can handle all of them alone with only just myself and a hammer I bought from the mall.

"Just several meters left," I said inside my mind, starting to notice the fatigue after running like hell for one whole minute. "I need to bear the

pain."

When I was exercising earlier, I accidentally took the wrong step and almost sprained my ankle. Even if I did not, I ended up feeling a strain on my right foot, which is causing me an irritatingly painful leg.

It hurts upon overdoing myself and I feel like my vein or a joint on my leg is going to snap any second.

"I can smell his fear," uttered one of the few pursuers of me. "It will not be long before he collapses!"

For some strange reason, although the man-eaters were a few meters away from me, running and jumping from branch to branch, I could clearly hear them talk.
