Esecleus Agnello Villin left his province life to start a new one on a man-made island where his college university was built and funded by the government. University of the New Philippines is located not so far from the Manila shore.

Everything was ordinary at first until an incident occured where a student hurt another student to the extent that the victim lost consciousness. When everyone thought that it was just some crazy incident and won't happen again, another similar incident happened until things became unclear and everyone began to turn crazy.

Obscurum Within

"Hey, that sounds like I am always slow and stupid!"


He chuckled, "that's not what I meant. Anyway, I've been meaning to say this. The truth is, my parents want me to study abroad. They want me to continue my study in America and take law there."


His news did not come as a surprise. I've always had a hunch that once he graduates, his parents would send him abroad.


"Isn't that good?" I said without stuttering and forming a genuine smile on my face, but deep inside, I wished for my friend not to go...


That was the last time Damien and I talked to each other because he left the next day. And up to this day, I have no clue or news about him. But I am always hoping for his safety and success. Yes, I wish for his success because the wealth and fame were not his, but his parents'.
